You're funny. I never said that and you know it. You've changed your own argument now you're trying to change mine as well.

PO10Saint - The amount injected is trifling compared to the increase in value and this would have been set out in the famous 5 year plan. The stuff talked about to the public is the nice bits we want to hear, do you believe for a second that there was not a detailed financial plan to support this which would also show the expected impact on the clubs potential resale value?

Me - "It really isn't. How much do you think the new training ground has cost? How much have we spent in transfer fees over the past five years?"

That's the beginning of this debate. Now you tell me who has really derailed it.

    Well, still you :p

All I did was dispute that £200m figure, so I'm not sure how any of what someone else said in arguing with you is relevant.

He's going and I'll now be more disappointed if he stays. We don't want to be second best, we want a manager who wants to manage Southampton and is committed for at least the next few years. He's in talks with Spurs, as far as I'm concerned he can leave now. I don't resent him for it as I said before, every manager has ambition. I'm just annoyed at being messed around when we should be preparing for pre season. Good luck Poch, now goodbye.

And try to draw the unrelated parts of the debate back to it as if it were the origin of the debate, then tell me I'm moving the goalposts because it isn't.

Haha, well if you were worried about that all you had to do was admit £200m was a huge exaggeration when I first questioned it.

Could use my technique...I say something...someone questions it...I reply...they repeat the same answer. I let it go, because either they are right or I don't care they are wrong. Hate long winded arguments, because I am quite happy being quietly right.

    word.

this becomes a problem when you encounter pre-teens on forums and have no way of knowing until it's too late.

hang on, there's a knock at the door.

    hello officer.
