    Lurpack?

    Bloody Lurpack?

If we are going to allow the incarcerated to grease themselves up whilst at Her Majesties then it should be Stork or worse.

No wonder the country is in the state it's in.

I mean, I pay my taxes for this?

To provide quality fats to make prisoners more slippery?

    I despair, I really do.

I bet it was spreadable as well.

Unbelievable. You couldn't make this up.

Stork is excellent for making a nice light sponge with. Not sure what's with the hate for it Ern.

I'm sure there's something a lot cheaper for these leeches to spread on their hand kneaded bloomers.

I know, I did read the article. But wouldn't make that good a headline for a topic to read if I'd said that would it!

I don't hate Stork Happy, in fact I appreciate it's higher water content and lower saturated fat proportion when creaming for a lighter sponge. Maximum air in the mix is essential for a light and fluffy sponge and Storks unique formula seems to allow for this.

    Go Stork when baking!

I was referring purely to the price differential and rating the cost of Stork as the highest that should be paid by the taxpayer in order to grease recidivists. Ideally though I would hope a well managed prison budget would be looking for a fat cheaper than Stork, such as Tesco Everyday Value soft spread in 1kg tubs.

Of course, being a large scale catering institution, I imagine that a prison kitchen would go wholesale and save even more.

    I don't know.

I do know however that providing Lurpack for prisoners to slipperize themselves with is not value for money.

A cheaper grease will be just as effective and could potentially save the country millions.

Although obviously the savings are governed by the number of prisoners who want to get all slippy.

Ah, ok, thanks for clarifying that for me.

I concur, they could use a cheaper spread, such as Tesco value. I assume they can't use the small packets you see in hotels due to the potential for turning one into a sharp edged weapon, plus the frustration at trying to get the bastard foil off the top, to find the insides are frozen solid could push some of the inmates over the top.

I share your bafflement though at how he had enough to grease himself up.

Is Lurpack a cheaper, self assembled butter as opposed to Lurpak?

Misleading subject headers are the scourge of this board. The 'official England will win world cup' effort was another prime example.

It gets right on my tit end.

    Agreed with me about what?

Youve managed to completely lose me in a couple of posts, that's a hell of an achievement.
