MP has a big fan on the Spurs board:

"BBC are reporting that we are in 'advanced' negotiations with Poch. There we go, cheapskate Levy trying to employ another useless w**ker. Bottom of the league in Spain (which is equivalent of bottom of the championship in England) then lucking on the best youth players in Europe to make him look good at Southampton. f**k me, most of the posters on here could do better. What a **** Levy is. If you gave the **** 10 billion pounds to spend he'd still find a way of f**king it up."

And that is the only comment on the Spurs board I could find. So far they seem to be treating this as just another possibility.
I will wait for confirmation. Honestly, I am not in denial, and do not have fingers in my ears. Just know how many transfers have almost happened and then not. I suspect we will know very shortly, or it ain't going to happen.

I've just asked a friend in Netherlands (Holland is not a country, but a small region in the Netherlands :)) who has loose contact with Ajax; await response.

*cough* FLT, this is no good. At Southampton we don't tell people what we are doing. They need only know the outcome

Cheers for the correction buddy but Holland is also used to refer to the Netherlands as a country, if we're going to get technical.

Not if you ask the Dutch :) I work with two of them and they correct me every time.

Anyway... just taken a phone call. De Boer is in the Caribbean (so what) on holiday and Ajax are already signing the players on his list so, no he has not quit as of the last info my friend has. Spuds did enquire about 6-8 weeks ago but were put off by the cost of buying his contract.

My "ITK" sources let me down! (in reality I was just passing on a rumour to give you hope)......but who knows, De Boer does want to manage in the premier league and build his own team.

If we can't convince pochettino to stay, there is no chance we would be able to persuade a manager like De Boer to come here.
