Again, why would it have forced his hand? Adam Blackmore knew he had been offered a deal and asked him the question, he just evaded it.

As we have learn't from people on here. It's not official until seen on the OS, with having a clear message sent out to the fans on what we were doing it would of helped. It would have showed we were commiting to Pochettinos ideas of trying to move upwards. Now it's just a cluster **** with the board being seen to be even weaker then they are.

George Graham! <yikes>

I should point out, I'm not saying that Graham was a good appointment! (I appreciate it could have been interpreted in that way!). It's just I'm not in a position to really be able to compare appointing Pochettino to anything before (and including) Graham.

unless he'd already made his decision clear to them.

why publicly pressure him if he's waiting for an answer from spurs and risk making his position untenable?

This is interesting. Maybe he knew back in January/march and agreed to stay and finish the season. Maybe the silence has been because the Board have spent two/three months seeking a replacement. If they have and he's ready to step straight in, then hats off, well done.

Why not??? Why the hell should we have to sit around biting our fingernails for 3 weeks to see whether Spurs want him or not!!

I suggest we lighten the mood.

:emoticon-0150-hands

If Pochettino does take over, I hope you find a decent manager as I know many of your fans are viewing us as this cocky london club bullying saints, but I view saints as a top up and coming club who have a bright future so maybe this will work out well for both of us. Although right now the majority of our fans won't be thinking that way!

MP has a big fan on the Spurs board:

"BBC are reporting that we are in 'advanced' negotiations with Poch. There we go, cheapskate Levy trying to employ another useless w**ker. Bottom of the league in Spain (which is equivalent of bottom of the championship in England) then lucking on the best youth players in Europe to make him look good at Southampton. f**k me, most of the posters on here could do better. What a **** Levy is. If you gave the **** 10 billion pounds to spend he'd still find a way of f**king it up."

I've just asked a friend in Netherlands (Holland is not a country, but a small region in the Netherlands :)) who has loose contact with Ajax; await response.

Cheers for the correction buddy but Holland is also used to refer to the Netherlands as a country, if we're going to get technical.
