Meltdown is a silly phrase to describe those getting annoyed that this has played out as it has. No one is in meltdown. We're all living ordinary lives and checking the net now and then to see if the board which promised us it would be open has updated anyone. It hasn't. No one is saying the rumours aren't true, which is what I would expect when the media whips a story into a maelstrom. People keep referring to a vague statement about not selling a few weeks ago, and we all want to believe it, but it looks unlikely. Meanwhile, I am watching tv. Excuse me while my nuclear core continues to destabilise.

'shambles' 'meltdown' 'unambitious' 'lack of leadership' <laugh>

ONE TWEET from Simon Peach. No one had mentioned anything like this until Poch supposedly talks to Tottenham. So what, what if he has a year left on his contract and is weighing up what Tottenham have to offer. He could return and sign a contract later this week with Saints. 'If' this happened there's gunna be a lot of people red in the face.

... and a lot of others saying they should be stripes in the face :)

I'm not in meltdown, because I think we can survive the loss of MP (regrettable thought that is) and the loss of 2 players (if most is reinvested). I don't believe for one minute that all the team are leaving....footballers just brush themselves off and start again with a new manager. They got over the loss of Nigel and he achieved 2 promotions.

You know what. Que Sera, sera.

I have been waiting for this sort of thing for the last 2 weeks and if it happens, so be it. I supported the club in League one, so why not now. No one is bigger than the club. We may lose a couple, but I'm sure we'll bring in a couple too.

I'm not a happy clapper, just realised how much time I have wasted hitting refresh on twitter and here. Yep, it's not ideal, but well see what happens.

IF Pochettino does leave, I wont be giving him any special treatment on his returns to St'marys, and will hope Spurs fail miserably.

I say bring in Paul Clement, currently coach at Real Madrid, wants to manage a team rather than coach according to SkySports, furthermore he has learned from the best (in terms of Ancellotti), very much reminds me of Rodgers (who was coach originally but turned manager). Seems a good choice for me (if Poch leaves that is)!

I totally agree. I'll renew my ST this year, and as ever support the players who wear the Saints badge.

Take Pochettino and possibly Lallana/Shaw out the equation our team still doesn't look too bad, with plus the 70 million we'll get from the pair we'll far from be a flop

Do I want Pochettino to stay? Of course I do, he is a great manager.

But will I be fussed if he does indeed leave for Spurs? No, not really. Just as long as his replacement isn't a right duffer, then I will simply move on to supporting them as our manager instead. Players, coaches, boardroom members come and go all the time. I'll still be turning up every other Saturday.

I didn't get fussed when Hoddle left. I didn't get fussed when Strachan left. I didn't get fussed when Pardew left. I didn't get fussed when Adkins left. I didn't get fussed when Cortese left. And I'm not going to get fussed if Pochettino leaves.

managers don't just up and leave when their chairman changes either. they have a contract after all.

don't see why players are different.

I've pretty much just said the same, though you've probably worded it better than I have.

The new regime are not exciting, but I feel safe for the long term future of the club. Les Reed would have been heavily involved in the appointments of Adkins and Pochettino and I have faith that he will select a suitable replacement if required.

Wouldn't be surprised if one wasn't lined up already. Then we can make another team go through this...tweets saying it's a done deal and pictures of him kissing the hallowed turf of St Marys.
