every day that goes past without him comitting to us his management of the club becomes less credible. if tottenham appoin de boer in 48 hours time he could still be a lame duck.

You said she's failed to do enough to convince Pochettino to stay, then cited rejecting offers as something she could have done to achieve that aim. What exactly are you saying?

There's only really one person in meltdown.

Everything being said is based on what people assume will happen. In the words of David Brent, to assume, makes an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'. I hope something official is decided soon, and then the place can go into meltdown. Until then, it remains speculation.

More than anything, the situation of Pochettino, Shaw, Lallana and the comments of Cork re: his contract all suggest a lack of leadership and direction.

I sincerely hope this is not the case but rather suspect that it is.

You're free to speculate but as of now no players have left. I think it's highly likely from what the board have said that we were not going to give Pochettino another £30m to spend this summer.
If he does not think he can replicate or improve the clubs position next season (even if he keeps everyone) then he may think that now is the chance to move to a club with the resources. If Saints came say 12th next season then he won't be looking at the same opportunities next summer.

Les Reed could be the new manager. Just a thought.

It's raining a little harder, but having just caught up, digging a hole for the wife's plum tree is looking appealing now... Is it safe to go to Beefy's or they on about giant peanut hugging in there?

I don't really see Shaw and Lallana's "situation" as particularly concerning or indicative of anything, considering they are still our players (what would keeping them look like at this point? Exactly as it does I would say). The real test of the board's capabilities will be if Pochettino does leave. If he has decided to go then there is little they can do to stop him, but they should have a contingency plan in place and act swiftly to restore order at the club.

small correction. it will have been a former wifag employee, employed by MALI when they acquired the factory and machinery of WIFAG.

unless they spoke to wifag about it for no good reason.

Let's assume he has gone (just an assumption)...what will happen? We will get a new manager who will inherit a good team and some money to spend. In August the season starts again and we will all be back there. Even if we lose Lallana and Shaw, the team will still be good. I bet no one else will be allowed to leave...we are not broke, so there is no reason for the board to allow the team to be dismantled and the team are happy so a little smoothing of ruffled feathers and they will be back to work as usual.

I'm over it and it hasn't even happened yet:)

'shambles' 'meltdown' 'unambitious' 'lack of leadership' <laugh>

ONE TWEET from Simon Peach. No one had mentioned anything like this until Poch supposedly talks to Tottenham. So what, what if he has a year left on his contract and is weighing up what Tottenham have to offer. He could return and sign a contract later this week with Saints. 'If' this happened there's gunna be a lot of people red in the face.
