Krueger (who I believe is in Canada) said that Mauricio was ambitious and had his career planned out. I suspect MP has watched this season unfold...we are nearly want he wants, but he knows we were short of players. Cortese going was the only one he felt loyalty towards and he's gone. To be fair to him...managers get sacked all the time...the difference is that this time we will get money instead of laying out compo for a third time.

It doesn't work like that. Managers can leave whenever they want.

    Agreed on that Dan.

Tuchel, Yakin or Rosler please, to soften the blow. With a coherent strategy too.

I was weighing this up to myself.

    A) Thank goodness Mauricio kept the squad together in January and stayed until the end of the season, wrapping up 8th.

    B) I am very disappointed that we are set to lose a great manager and a good bunch of players.

There's little the club can do if Pochettino genuinely wants to go.

Precisely. When Cortese left I hoped she would put the club up for sale.

Ok then, she should have assured him none of our top players were going to be allowed to leave.

Doesn't mean anything tho does it.Pochettino would need to let the board know his desire to talk to Spuds,He would have to agree to pay 2m or Spuds pay it for him. The contract offer isn't as attractive as the one on offer @ Saints. He may feel he can achieve his desires @ Saints. Or he may feel sod you lot I'm off ta ta.

it looks inevitable it will go further than that.

nothing has happened yet. if poch goes, maybe they will appoint someone simltaneously who will restore everyone's faith. krueger has shown nothing to suggest he will defy expectation as of yet though.

krueger might genuinely be comfortable with the way things are going. well he's not invested and he's a rookie to this game.

She can't really control that, can she? She can try, but if their heads have been turned as it seems, there's not a lot you can do.

Some people need to chill out. Even if he is talking to Spurs (which for some reason we are taking Simon Peach's word for), why does that imply he will definitely leave? Maybe he will talk to them and decide they're not for him. Frankly I think he'd be daft to go there. He'd be gambling much more with his own future than with ours.

For all we know, we could have a replacement lined up already. No reason to panic yet.

there's no reliable information that pochettino would be swayed by that anyway.

what we can count on is we will lose several players if he goes.

Yes she can. Just reject all offers. Lallana and Shaw have 4 years left on their contracts. Tough **** if the players want to leave, they signed the contracts last year.

Have we accepted offers for them? You're assuming a hell of a lot.

No, which makes this apparent forum meltdown all the more difficult to understand.

I don't want Katharina to sell. She may see it as a business (which it is) but she also has a warm feeling for the club and there are too many wolves out there. No new billionaire owner is going to come riding over the horizon...we'd be more likely to end up with someone buying the club by borrowing against its assets...i.e. mortgaging us. We are in safe hands...I just wish we had a strong leader. Kreuger is unproven.

Its gone from everyone starting to think we have a chance at keeping poch and co, to complete meltdown over one tweet and a SSN report. Lets not get carried away.

Although, If Poch were to go, and is followed by Shaw and Lallana, can I be the first to say lets not give them the hero treatment.

Also agreed. I think he's likely going, but there's certainly no need for panic. As I mentioned previously, if the replacement is Tuchel/Yakin/Rosler, I'm sad but I'm okay with that (as long as there's a coherent investment strategy for them to work with). If the replacement is Lennon, I might worry a little more!
