Debuchy tweeted welcome BafGomis to Nufc. Then took it down a few minutes later. Could be real, could be fake. I'm assuming debuchy would know though if Gomis joined. Heres to hoping.
I just don't this this is something a player would do. No player is stupid enough to do this. Apparently he wants 100k a week which is at least double what we'd pay him.
But apparently we paid £80k to Remy... Plus his loan fee. Gomis is a free agent so over a 3 year deal 100k is only £15m.... Which on the open market is not too far above his transfer value.
The tweet was a fake as there was no blue tick next to Debuchy's name. Gomis might well end up here but it won't be any time soon as him and his agent are going to play every interested party off against each other. It sounds like they are starting the Dutch auction at £100k/week wages but I doubt anyone will go for that so it will probably be a drawn out affair. Besitkas fans have been all over Gomis' Twitter account so I assume they are another interested party. He's an okay player but I'm not overly bothered if we don't get him as he won't be here for anything other than the money.
Baffling that anyone thinks he's a realistic target. If there's one thing Ashley's NUFC isn't used for, it's fcking money - right or wrong. We're a stepping stone, nothing more, nothing less.
I can't see it. I don't think the money is the issue thinking about it. Not entirely anyway. He is right up our street in that there is no fee. Why would he come here though? This is not like Ba or Remy who didn't have great options and clouds hanging over them. This guy is fit and will be getting hawked all round Europe. Someone will likely offer more and better options will likely present themselves. We are not that big a pull.
