You can see what a massive change being in the EU has made to the growth of the UK population. It's been rising at a steady rate since, um, 1801.

Be careful, if we hit 70, 80, 90 million people there will be so little room to move people will be clinging on to the island at the coasts. <doh>

And watching HIGY last night tickled me... Every time UKIP are accused of racism their poll rating goes up. <laugh>

I reckon UKIP's share of the vote breaks down something like this:

10% of those who voted (About 4% of the adult population) are unashamedly racist little Englanders

5% (2%) are not racist but believe what Farage says and thinks the answers to all our problems are to close the borders, lower standards and quality controls, forget about human and workers rights and the environment and trade.

    2% ( <1%) prefer the colour purple

These results show that Labour hasn't got what it takes to govern with that prat Miliband! If labour were going to make any serious headway they should be picking up well of ver 350 seats and taking councils like Swindon, Tamworth and Trafford from the Tories! In reality their predicted share of the national vote managed a measly 31% just 2% more than the Tories managed! At this stage of the electoral cycle they should be polling a 10 - 15% lead! There is not much appetite for labours Tax and spend policies. And Milliband is a just weirdo! He looks weird, he talks weird and he acts weird! Bacon sarnie anyone?

Milliband is not a weirdo, he's just a Pratt. Unfortunately this is the sort of playground nonsense that Farage is bringing out in people.

I could never vote for the man - someone who pretends to know someone he doesn't (Swindon councillor) - certainly isn't someone fit to run the country. But then look around at the options, who out of them is? And people want us to take the power away from Brussels and give more to people like Milliband, Cameron, Clegg or Farage. It's a bloody circus <ok>

The only one spreading hate on here appears to be you my friend! This is the problem with the metropolitan intelligentsia in this country! Woe betide anyone who has a different set of views or values to theirs! The race card and the bigot slurs are flung around like confetti! <ok>

Nigel Farage and UKIP have been a breath of fresh air in the political discourse in this country! He has dared to speak up for the millions of disaffected people in this country who are deeply disillusioned with the mainstream political parties! Long may he prosper! <ok>

I know where your coming from but as everything that is said is by all parties is either a lie or a petty argument then I don't think its worth the time or effort. Make manifestoes legally binding and I will vote in every ne of them. I know not everything will come in in one term of office but I think there should be 3 key points that they should be bound to put into place or face penalties. It is said that they become accountable at the next election but when you know you cant trust anyone then that doesn't hold much sway

The silly thing is I am quite interested in the subject but years of watching the likes of question time when instead of answering questions on how to improve things they actually comment how the other parties have messed up over the last 30 years has made it all seem so uninspiring. The sad/ worrying thing is the majority of the country doesn't vote anymore. The whole system needs to come back into line with the real world. The parties need a mix of candidates and not just the career politicans working with a PR company to improve image. I would rather they said what they believed than say what they think they should. I don't care if they smile or not, I care about what they feel and what they would do to change the country.
