If Taylor has show this much distain for Brendan, then I'll come down pick him up, and kindly drop him off at St James Park with a flea in his ear. Common decency to his manager is to discuss what his intentions are not ignore him. Taylor thinks he's better than he really is. I think he's burnt his bridges with us now, if a transfer falls through.

Well whether he stays or goes ,I for one won't look upon him favourably again, I've watched football for 40 odd years both amatuer and professional level and it stlll grates when players act in a disrepectful manner not only towards the manager but also to the supporters. The trouble now as I see it when De vries Taylor Prately & possibly Rangel move on Brendan has to purchase twice the amount of players just to keep us at some sort of level playing field(competatively speaking)with the rest of the league.
When they spout off about a players career is short so's half of the rest of the population but they have to adapt with little or no nest egg compared to some footballers.
Not a happy man at the moment but life moves on and they'll have their place in the history books of this club I'm sure .Just don't treat us like idiots ( its all about the money)<steam>

Yea we have or will lose almost half the team that played at Wembley!
    De Vries
    Pratley
    Rangel
    Taylor
    Borini!

Those are some good players...If we had sold them all I think thats at least £20million

I don't know where you get your figures from rhys, but borini wasn't ours to sell, and he left chelsea on a free, taylor will go for £2m to the toons, and Rangel will sign IMO, the rest of the players are out of contract, so can't be sold!

I assume he means if we´d tied them to longer contracts, and thus had the option of selling...

They both had two year contracts signed in 2009 the club tried to extend that, they were turned down, so unless they signed last year it was inevitable they were angling on a sign on fee unless we offered something silly. Really it's academic now.

I´m firmly in the "if you don´t want to play for the Swans, sod off" camp myself. I guess it takes a certain type of personality... we're always going to be the underdogs, way out west as it were, so we just need to acquire players with points to prove. Luckily the come fairly cheap most of the time I guess, and while they´re not always that great (we could debate who qualifies for that category all night no doubt!) you do pick up some gems. The key is a quality selection process I think.

Maybe somebody with balls should tell Taylor and the parasite for agent he's going nowhere other than training with the seagulls on Swansea Bay.
That we he'll only have basic wage and time to think about what contracts should mean and what a mouthy agent he has got

    Rant over

    Blood pressure down.

    Feel better for that.

My sentiments exactly Premier. If that clause in his contract is only to talk to other teams and not a requirement to sell, once the magic million mark has been reached.
If we don`t have to sell then leave him simmering in his juices until his contract runs out. By then no one would want him and his ideals might change a bit.

So Chelsea have put a £5m tag on Bertrand, the England U-21 international who's had naff all first team experience. In which case we should be looking for at least £3m for first team player and full Welsh international. Hold the Geordies to ransom. If they want him then they should pay the going rate.

Hey you know what sports have that model? US sports. Bargaining agreements, every deal worked by the players association, oh and some of the greediest, richest, most materialistic players in any sport in the world.

Where there is money there will be people who take advantage, if it's not the agents then it will be players themselves demanding the cash.

sott, I totally agree with you. If any player doesnt want to be here we are better off without them. we can replace anybody and whose to say that they wont improve the side.
I would have loved hose players to stay for continuity alone. but that hasnt happened. so onwards and upwards and we will have some new names to sing about this year.
none of them are bigger or better than our club.

    Get rid of him.

He blatantly thinks he's better than he actually is, and thinks he's better than SCFC. No player at this club is bigger than the club and I think we should shove him in the reserves to rot, let his contract run and then boot him.

    Serve the bastard right.

Saw this online today, that they have put a £5 million price tag on him and instantly thought £2 million and they can have him and we should get in there now before interest peaks too much in him but then saw that there are a host of other teams after him.

Watched him in the last England U21 Championship games with Sinclair on the left and him at full back......was brilliant....and they seemed to have a natural ability to work together too.

I know Villas-Boas worked with Mourihno but did he work with Rodgers too???? I know he doesn't like to bang on about that previous working relationship anymore but a friendly word could help getting him down here lol
