Man City are looking to sell Micah Richards, Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair whilst they won't offer new contracts to Gareth Barry and Joleon Lescott according to Sky Sports sources.

Barry is probably Everton bound but any others tickle your fancy?

This is because Man City cannot afford to have players in their squad that are considered dead weight because of the squad reduction they face. Not to mention that these players just aren't good enough for the ambitions that Man City have.

I would suggest that so any English departures would indicate some incoming English players and hazarding a guess I would have to think along the lines of Llana, Shaw and possibly even Sterling.

As for the list of released players I would probably take any of them. Although I'm not keen in signing players of an older age unless it is an exception to the rule or a goalkeeper.

Richards would be an amazing capture but way out our league and more likely a Everton calibre player.

At least we have things to offer now that we maybe didn't before. Improvement of worldwide audience, some top players, got the best out of signings such as Davies , Livermore and Huddlestone, FA Cup final etc

Honestly, all of them given the right situation.

Richards and Rodwell would be awesome but I expect they'd want higher wages than we could offer. Lescott could do a good job for us for a couple of years while Chester continues 'growing' as a player and likewise Barry would certainly be a good addition for a year or two but again, wage demands would be large. Sinclair certainly has talent but would his personality fit? Could unsettle things a bit.

There is no way Richards will go to Everton with Coleman there. Oddly enough, their noisy neighbours are crying out for a right back but seeing as Van Gaal has never heard of Carrington I would presume Richards is a million miles off his radar.

It's annoying that Man City have gathered these players, paid them way above the market rate, then let them fade into obscurity whilst collecting their enormous paypackets.

Most of these won't get out of bed for less than £60k a week, and that's at the conservative end, yet they could be very useful to clubs like us.

Would take the all in the right circumstances. Obviously wages is a BIG factor - but depends on whether they want regular first team games, which they haven't had recently or whether they are happy to follow the ££££ and/or sit on another bench.

Well I'm basing it on the reports when Rodwell signed and then based on rough reports that he was our top paid played until Long came in. Long is rumoured to be on 55k a week so its guess work

I can't believe Long is on anything like that much

Rodwell would probably fancy himself in a bigger team than ours.. but would love to have him in midfield with thudd & livermore... what an english trio that would be!

you never know... Bruce is guaranteed to surprise us this summer with a fantastic signing or two.

That is ridiculous if true.

I agree, even witout these options Bruce will make one or two quality additions especially with Europe in mind. If we keep the same ethos with no egos then we will be even stronger next season.

To be fair AKCJ remembering what your owners were like when they first took over your club chucking money at players like Matt Mills, I am sure that the excitement and rush of. Blood to the head that comes with it if you want a striker of Longs quality in today's going rates you will be paying the same.

Shane Long is not worth £2.8m per year. Not in a million years.
