Mouser Watch #2

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, May 26, 2012.

  1. Goofy seems set to stay at 'Pool, going on the quotes being attributed to him on the BBC Football website. I wonder if he'll remain so keen when 'Pool have failed to get to the knock-out stages and 'Pool are struggling to keep pace with the top 4?

I'm now thinking that a January transfer is more likely than a Summer one.

I think what Goofy is actually saying is that neither Madrid or Barca have offered to double my salary ............yet.

  3. Good point.

I think that temptation will come, too. Sure, 'Pool will resist, but it will, then, come down to whether or not Goofy wants to waste his time at LFC playing a lost cause for half the money. As we know only too well, what a players says one minute is often the complete opposite what he demands the next.

Sewerez is unlikely to come out and say he is unhappy and not enjoying his football at this time, his agent will have worded him carefully of what and what not to say, his comments are just standard footballer drivel on the back of his wages being doubled, being voted player of the year and having a stellar season. With all that fresh in his mind, he is feeling good about life at Diverpool at present, that will soon change when the novelty wears off and his agent gets a call from Real Madrid.

Today we can be as one - and hope Hull beat the French ****ers.

    So far so good.

  6. Gooners will be likening today's win to the comeback against United in the classic FA Cup Final in the early 70s. In that match, they were 2-0 down, but came back to win 2-3 in a classic.

And, yes, it was exactly the same.

Except for the fact that the reason Arsenal won is that they were marginally less ****e than the mighty Hull.

The only good thing to come from today is that their win will undoubtedly lead to Whinger staying at Arsenal for a further 5 years.

Thought the goons were 2 up and united got it to 2 all in last 10 mins only for the goons to score the winner a minute from the end...could be wrong as I was 11 then...1979 I think

So they'd be willing to pay him £400k a week?

My view on the whole situation is if he goes he goes, he's been a huge part of gettign us back into the CL. No question we'll get a huge amount of money for him, and if spent wisely then we're be fine without him.

We got him for 23mil and he's helped put us right back on the map - if he decides the time to move on is now, he's done a job a Liverpool and we'll cope without him.

If he stays all the better, so for me it's a win win situation.

Not when we have the mighty Pochettino/FDB/Benitez/Hughes/Curbishley in charge.

To be fair, he should've won manager of the season for taking a side that looked destined to finish bottom and getting them to midtable.

Tony Pullis is my choice to be our next manager and whoever Levy hires will prove to a failure while the ideal choice for us is Tony Pullis <ok>

  19. Been there, done that.

    With Bale.

When Bale left, it went pear-shaped for us, and the real likelihood is that it will be the same for you when Goofy leaves.

Personally, I'd prefer Goofy to stay with LFC, because his price-tag will plummet when he gets found out next season, and 'Pool will have lost the opportunity to cash-in on his one good season.
