Best of luck Guly, bit of a legend in my eyes, did very well for us in the lower leagues and was a more than decent squad player in the Prem. Never understood the abuse, was any of it to do with his driving problems a few years back? People thinking he was a bit of a flash prima Donna? I never got those vibes personally. Anyway all the best and enjoy the world cup!
As a smoker and a drink driver he was a bad influence on the youngsters, I still liked him for the good stuff he did, I will conveniently now forget the rest.
Don't like him all that much and never rated him as a player. Nontheless, I recognize the important role he played in out team troughout the years. I appreciate that and I thank him for that.
Anyone know where he is off too? Assume he's still going to play, maybe back in Brazil? Checked his Wiki but nothing.

Actually, my favourite Guly moment is the lovely chip, straight onto Adams boot, in the Coventry match. Seems to to sum him up. Most of his best stuff was really quite straight forward. I also remember him trapping the ball in the penalty area and calmly slotting the ball into the right hand corner of the net, can't remember which game. I wish him well.
Yep, I remember that one too. It features in his goal compilations. Crossed to by Lallana and he trapped the ball, and for a split-second, he surveyed the opportunities to score and saw the only gap to slot the ball into, he adjusted his feet and duly did it. Can't think of a stand out Guly moment myself because when he was good he was very good indeed, and most of his stand out moments are in that category. If I was to plump for something it would be him waltzing through a Bristol Rovers defence to score The game that Guly was excellent in that stands out for me was the 3-0 against Boro in the Championship. The first header shows Danny Butterfield's brilliant ability to cross the ball perfectly [so did Frazer] and a cracking header by Guly into the top corner. Then he's on hand to head in Lambo's knock down. Then he hit the post. In the second half he was subbed and Saints went onto score the 26-pass goal. A great exhibition of Saints ability against the, upto then, meanest defence in the Championship.
No I don't think so. Holloway had the right hump I think. It was just the question mark at the end the "I'll never forget" that made me smile. I did the same thing in something I sent to the Chairman of a company I once worked at and he never let me forget it.
