Whoever gets the job, it's clear from comments both on here and on other sites that a majority of fans will not particularly want the candidate chosen. My personal preference for Zola, for example, is as much a vote against the others as a positive desire for him, and it seems that many people have the same feeling - we know who we don't want, but we're not sure who we do. The list of candidates as a Championship club is much less exciting than the names which were being discussed six months ago when we were still a desirable option for rising and foreign managers. In short, a lot of us are going to feel doubtful.
So, unless the Board pull a rabbit out of the hat, I hope we can all just swallow these doubts once the decision is made and get behind the team and the club and give the new guy time to prove himself. I know what we do and say on here doesn't matter, but the overall mood around the club DOES, and we'll need all the positivity we can muster if we're going to get out of the Championship. That's a race won by desire most seasons rather than simple class.
