Just checked 92/2014, Manchester United net spend £295,000,000 Manchester City net spend £571,000,000
Scary how much they have wasted isn`t it!

They'd have spent most of that in the last five or six years too though

The quest was to compare the last 26 years. I could only find the last 22 (premier league time) with any ease but i think it shows that even though city have gone mad in the last 3/4 years the average spend was quite equal throughout the rest of the time.

Half a billion quid they've spent on players in the past 5 years and still no offer to pay for the ****ing stadium they were gifted by the taxpayer !

Citeh paid rent for the council house for years. If I recall correctly once the attendance went above Maine Road's capacity (34,000 ?) they had to give the extra gate receipts to the council.I'm sure i read somewhere that they now give a set amount.

Not sure of the specifics Cym but they Sheikhs bought a football club that were artificially undervalued because they inherited a stadium paid for by taxpayers.
Stadium worth what, £300m ?
Citys rent was negligable and the local authority even paid half the cost of converting the stadium from athletics to football.
Their new found disregard for finance just flies in the face of clubs like ours who have planned, budgeted and suffered as a result of trying to do things properly....

Paying the money paid by 13,000 is not really negligible. At £20 per ticket it works out at £260,000 per game.Don't forget the deal for Citeh to use the council house was drawn up before the Sheikhs were ever involved

The goon children are so temperamental.

Thankfully we have just one matth. Not the 8 or so on here.

The burds where I live are the best ones. Cornish lasses are as fit as a fiddle from the active lifestyle we have down here, lots of surfing and swimming makes for shapely buns and toned bodies and lots of skimpy bikinis to show it all off in

Hubba Hubba

Manunited start their new era under Van Gaal by breaking another record, their first home loss to Swansea in the league, and their first home loss on the opening day of the season since 1972.

Keep em coming United.
