Hard to do I know, but Lambert 7? He has contributed so much...his assists alone should put him higher than that.
Shows how good our team is (at the moment, anyway!). He did have a bad patch in the middle, but finished on great form.

Boruc = 10, but 1st GK Lallana 1 Lambert, Schneiderlin, JRod = 2 Cork, Shaw, Lovren = 5 Fonte, Clyne = 8 Wanyama = 11 Hard on Wanyama...has many positive attributes for the team, but have gone for skill levels...he isn't as skilled as the others. Boruc may not be as high a GK as Lallana is a MF, but we need him. Just shows how hard it is to do, because we don't have poor players and comparing the contribution of strikers with defenders is like comparing apples and oranges. They all contribute.
OMG...hadn't even included him. he comes under the category of not quite first choice, but don't have the slightest worry when he plays. I'm expecting a couple of goals from him next season.

Are we ranking them by their ability to play their position or by importance to the team? I.e if one of them were to get injured, or sold, how big of a loss would it be. For me Boruc is the most important player to have fit in the team. When Boruc has been out we've imploded. He isn't a fantastic keeper by any means but he's certainly solid. The defence looks comfortable with him between the sticks. The most important factor is that we don't have a replacement of a decent standard at all when Boruc's out. After that I will go for Shaw, Lovren and Fonte. Clyne at left back or Yoshida instead of Fonte or Lovren weakens the side noticeably. 1. Boruc 2. Shaw, Lovren, Fonte 5. Lambert 6. Rodriguez, Lallana 8. Davis, Schneiderlin, Clyne, Wanyama If I rank them by ability in their specific position, instead of importance to the side, then the rankings would look different: 1. Shaw 2. Rodriguez, Lallana 4. Lambert, Schneiderlin 6. Lovren, Fonte 8. Clyne, Davis, Wanyama 11. Boruc This does show we desperately need an extra keeper.
It's based on their performances over the whole of the 13-14 season. Wanyama is 11th because he struggled a little at first, but in the last 4 games he was brilliant.
