I have to say that when I saw BZ get ready to come on things started to look alot bleaker, however I think it was the turning point. He has been taking alot of stick throughout the season and to come on in a game of such importance and show some of the touches he showed last night was great to see. Nearly scored a lovely lob and set up 2 goals. His pass for CA 2nd goal was sublime and worth winning any game. Hopefully he can put in one more performance on the biggest stage and maybe we will forget about his off days. In saying that he is probaly the only player to get injured for a penalty which he didnt take. A great Team performance overall. U RRRRRRRRRRRRRSS
Bobby was in beast mode last night. Had a hand in both goals and was a real handful. Unlucky not to score after out pacing (I kid you not) and out muscling 3 defenders only to see his deft lob nestle on the roof of the net.
I know people knock BZ in the past (and I'm one of them !) But last night he made the difference, one of his best performances in the QPR shirt Fair to say he was immense last night Also applause to Barton – what a display and in even going in to a bust up to help diffuse the situation ensuring we keep all players on the pitch and don’t pick up silly yellow cards – looks like the boy has become a mature and level headed man (at last !)
He is certainly looking like a different player in recent games. I would have groaned in the past if I saw him coming on. What a swan song with us if he comes off the bench again at Wembley and has a similar influence. It would be nice if his legacy with us is a positive one.
I admit I had my head in my hands when I seen him coming on. But Harry got it spot on. Big Bobby was the business
He's always been a good player when he's in the mood to put himself about a bit. But he's never been a real goalscorer and with injuries we certainly haven't seen anything like enough of the good Zamora, and he has sometimes deserved the stick he's been given. But now we have a clear role for him, for one more match at least - after Charlie has battered the defence for 60/70 minutes get BZ on next to him to keep the pressure on, when he doesn't need to worry about lasting a whole game. Heart in mouth moment yesterday though, I thought he was going to leave us a man down after Carson kicked him.
He's so awful starting yet so good coming on, he's our very own super sub. Didn't put a foot wrong last night.
I stood pretty much alone yesterday but not any more, thanks for the company lads He still can't start but he has his injury under control at the moment and is playing for his future, either with us or somewhere else. We are benefitting from it now, he could be the difference again at Wembley. I wouldn't mind extending his contract with one year on a performance related pay as you play deal.
I've wanted him as far from the pitch as possible all season but thought he was brilliant last night. He put himself about, made himself a real nuisance to their defence, held the ball up and laid it off superbly, set up both goals and nearly grabbed another. Thanks BZ.
Exactly this. He has done well as a sub lately. Surely a better player than the L1 reject but he probably would struggle to play 90.
I saw him run at one point and I thought Redknapp had stuck jet engines on the back of him. Anyway, I think he had those back problems for a long time and since he's had corrective surgery he's actually been very good in every performance for us, especially as a sub.
I must admit I wasn't happy when I saw him by the line but Bobby was immense and he was crucial for our win
Zamora has been looking much better recently. His input as sub in the 5-2 win against Forest was impressive. Showed real class last night. Could play a major part at Wembley
I'm not sure his hip would take anything but cameo, Stan. I'm not wholly convinced by Doyle, though he works hard
It looks like that BZ's strength and role now is an impact player. He certainly made an impact last night and his quick thinking led to the winner. With 120 mins of sheer intensity good job we have 12 days to recover.
