They have to arrange it ahead of the day for all sorts of reasons. If they don't need it, they'll cancel it, but if they don't arrange it now, they'd have to wait for at least a week before they could do it. Doing it the day after is perfectly sensible, why keep everyone around a week longer than necessary? Makes sense, and its just sensible forward planning. Nothing to see here. Move on.
I would expect Mr Bruce to use the 'revelation' in his prematch team talk. Get the players pumped right up...... not a Gazza level of pumpedupness though....
Premature felicitations can be embarrassing and leave you feeling unsatisfied. Hopefully come Sunday this will be how Arsenal are feeling.
Maybe even if they lose they will have it, as coming seconded seems to be considered an achievement at Arsenal.
Spot on. They need to give something like 2 weeks notice in their neck of the woods. Too many of our fans want to read things into situations which aren't there. The Allams were in touch with the various agencies who need to be consulted about an open bus top parade last week. Were they been presumptuous or disrespectful to Arsenal. Apparently our plans end with a celebration at the KC and not at City Square and a civic reception as it should do.
