Felix and his mate were at Brighton tonight watching them lose 2-1 to Derby in the first leg of the play-off. Don't know if they were talent spotting (Hughes was an unused sub for Derby by the way) or getting an early gauge on the standard in the Championship (Derby were awesome apparently).

I suspect the latter and preparatory to deciding which of our current players to dump.

I hope Williams will be kept and given a chance next season. It seems that he's done well with Oxford (his last-day red card not withstanding). I can't offer any insight into the rest of them, although Felix seems to regard Tunnicliffe as having a bit of an attitude.

Another one to add to the list: does anyone know why Tankovic disappeared from meaningful first team action as soon as Felix arrived?

Presumably we were desperate to get Parker to sign, having missed out on other midfield targets with the August window coming to a close. We had to offer a longer contract to get him in. By contrast, like many clubs we have a policy of not offering more than a year to players who are extending their contracts and over a certain age. There is a certain logic to the club's position over Sidwell, but signing Parker on such a long contract looks worse and worse as the months go by.

I think in Parker's case, the reason the Club broke their 1 year policy for players over a 'certain age' was money. We couldn't/weren't prepared to pay him £80k pw for 1 year, so spread it over 3 (with a little bonus!?). Parker, for his part was no doubt happy because he wouldn't get a reasonable guarantee of first team football and that kind of financial set up elsewhere. And of course he could stay in London.
 
In - Wisdom, Bannan, Bertrand and Cook
In - Roberts, Tankovic, Dembele, David, Grimmer, Woodrow

Out - Stekelenberg, Reither, Hangeland, Heitinga, Riise Zverotic, Boateng, Parker, Diarra, Duff, Ruiz Holtby, Bent,

I would be very happy with the above and our wage bill will decrease massively
 
This is by no means an exhaustive list nor is it a wish list. But based on what I saw, or did not see, today.

Gone are:

Hangeland (who did a lap applauding the fans at the beginning of the game) and Dejagah (who was reluctant to acknowlege the Hammy End chants at the end of the game).

Stekelenburg, Riether and Kasami (who couldn't even make back up).




PS Very strong rumours that Mitroglou was only there for show and he's off as well.
 
Mitroglou cost £12 million and played 171 mins of football scoring no goals. That means he cost us £70,175 per minute of his Fulham career (or £1,169 per second). And this doesn't include his wages. What a phenomenal waste of money.

It's the final present from Jol on his way out. He was just trying to paper over the cracks enough to get through another season; signings like Parker and Bent are testament to that. At least we can write off Bent and Riise, but Parker is past it and under contract for two more years. Spurs (and QPR) really shafted us there.

I would be happy to see Hangeland gone and get Burn playing. Rumours have that we have an offer close to £12m for Mitroglou...
Stekelenburg and Riether can also go. Stockdale is our number 1.

Kasami I would like him to stay. I believe Magath can sort him out!
 
I think Kasami will leave. I have a bad feeling that he thinks he is better than he is; a season in the Championship would be very good for him. But we'll see.

The thing for me is managers are just like fans they look at players and think that if they play to their potential they can do a job.

For instances I thought Ruiz, Petric and Boateng would be good players for us based on their previous performances at their clubs, but I didn't think we should have got Parker or Bent as I'd never been convinced by either player at other clubs even though at their peak they were considered England Internationals class.

So it's all about opinions and Fulham are a club where the manager has to take a gamble that the player he buys will play to his best potential and not be a flop. You only have to look at the top teams to see even they've made mistakes with the some of the players they buy, but they have the financial clout to write off these mistakes.
 
According to Tuttosport, Inter Milan have called the Club to ask about the availability Alexander Kacaniklic. Inter are looking to find options for the left side as well as in attack and president Erik Thohir reportedly feels Kacaniklic could be a good addition.

They suggest that we are listening to all offers as they prepare to rebuild the squad and Inter think they could get a good bargain for both Kaca and Kostas Mitroglou. Inter were keeping an eye on Mitroglou back in January when he became our record signing for £12m and the report says that Inter, "may now look to pick him up even though his stay at Craven Cottage has been dogged by fitness problems."
 
To be honest I would take any decent offer for Kacanickilic. He is a good young player but I think we other good young players with more potential. He would be a solid first team squad player but not unrepeatable if we get a good offer
 
We all know our defence needs ripping out and rebuilding but I don't think we need to spend to much I in other areas I would be happy with
