I read somewhere that the conny has got a face lift. Always liked the place and go there first when I go over for a game. What's everyone's opinion of the renovations.....or have you noticed any !

    Good evening qprmayo.

I mentioned this on a thread after the Millwall match.

They've done a good job, it seems a lot brighter as they've replaced some of the obscure glazing for clear. Some of the cluttered ceiling furniture - the redundant extraction and the TVs hung from the ceiling - have gone. The carpet has been ripped up and replaced with a wood laminate. The bar area has been tidied up. They've also extended the gents toilets - smarter and less cramped - and opened up the ceiling at the far end to reveal the decorative joists.

In the upheaval, the 'Up the Rs and Up the Bhoys' Irish flag has however disappeared.

I am aiming to be there from around 6.30pm on Monday and happy to stand a pint of Guinness on the bar for you qprmayo.

Sounds good Sku. Have to admit the C&S had been my prefered option, but love to have more options and the Conningham has a better location for sure. Look forward to rewisit.

I enjoyed an excellent pint of Guinness at the Conningham Arms with Finglas and the Irish R's last Nov 23rd, celebrating our 1-0 victory over Charlton thanks to Charlie Austin's wonder goal. Finglas even warned me to be sure to let the Guinness settle before launching into it and Kingdom later introduced me to wonderful Bushmills Black Bush Irish Whiskey! Pre-match that day we were at the Crown & Sceptre - both are great Rangers pubs.

Norway, you're always good for a pint of Guinness too, right?
