Or Man U haven't signed one yet. After Sir Alex laid them all off, one of Moyes biggest mistakes was not signing at least two immediately. I have heard that Giggs is awaiting approval from the board and hopes to complete the signing in time for Sundays fixture.

I think Reed should infiltrate their camp impersonating Scholes. Get their tactics and team.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I've always liked Mike Dean ever since he reffed our FA Cup tie against Spurs 4-0.

Talking of which I hope we revert to a classy yellow and blue for 2nd strip when we next change.

Although I have enjoyed watching us playing in the black and white.

Certainly better than the red shirts. There is something very 'manly' about black. I once had to play in a change strip similar to Newcastle with the black and white stripes. There was a definite psychological effect on the team. We collectively felt stronger and tougher. Bizarre but true.

I played in a charity match last Sunday and the team we were playing wore red and white stripes and black shorts, while we wore all blue. They won by quite a margin. Could have been because they were made up of County and non-League players and were all in their late teens early twenties while we were a bunch of Sunday League sloggers in our 30s, or it could have been because of the kit. I don't think Saints should take any chances though.

At school we played in an old Saints all white kit from about 1990. I think it was sponsored by Draper. We were bad.

I always prefer the yellow and blue as our away strip. They should get a special admiral one done!

I want the one from the Championship back. Looked utterly superb.

Is it coincidence that Newcastle's Away strip is the same yellow and blue [practically identical to our old one] and that we've had black and white..? Yes, it probably is.

Also the white socks. That's what makes it look like Brazil. Our next effort should have green trim.

Scientists claim red has a psychological effect on performance, which is probably bullshit but there you go. Here's a BBC article on it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4559071.stm

It's well known that colours have an effect on people. Red is an aggressive colour, Blue is non-aggressive, and Green is calming or calm. There are several psychological tests where colour choice and preference** can show detailed traits of a person's personality. Whether colour advantage can be transferred into a sporting team environment is uncertain in my view, though I certainly wouldn't dismiss it.

    **Lüscher Colour Test
The above example is a much shortened version of a detailed test and individual personality analysis.

And that's why my flat is painted in shades of blue and green (apart from the hallway, which is red and white in honour of our promotion to the PL).
