Probably the "on the pitch at the end" brigade will make sure that won't happen.

If you get even one call then there has not been "no enquiries of any kind", and if you getting several every day then it's certainly contradictory. There is no way the two can both be true.

Apart from one person meaning enquiries and the other meaning real offers...then both can be true.

No they can't, a phone call about a player is an enquiry. Reed clearly said "no enquiries".

Argument about semantics...think we can agree that we have a lot of players (not just the obvious ones) who attract attention, but our Chairman isn't eager to sell and so no formal offers have been put in as far as Reed knows.

I know it's bloody boring, I can't believe I have to explain it at quite such length either.

If, for a moment you would stop reading between the lines, and rely on facts, not fantasy, I think you may be pleasantly surprised when nothing comes of your fears. Anything, anyone says in public, can and will be turned around to represent something entirely different, if the mind set desires it. Chill out and wait and see, negative thoughts only upsets the native population, if you must have them please keep them to yourself, the rest of us are not as naive as you seem to think, you insult our intelligence if you think we don't know the possibilities.

Negative thoughts? All I have said is that Reed's statement contradicts this second-hand account. Nothing else is implied, though for some reason people find that really difficult to understand. I'd be grateful if you stop confusing me with people who are actually being negative, and actually read what I've said.

You are absolutely correct when you say you are being boring, I have a reputation for that, but you are beating me into a cocked hat on that score. Les Reed said the club will sit down with manager Mauricio Pochettino after Sunday's final Premier League fixture to discuss his future. "Mauricio has made it clear as soon as Sunday's game is out of the way we will sit down and continue the discussions we will be having," said Reed. "He wanted to achieve the record points total and focus on the games and nothing else. "This is one of the issues of being successful, everyone is attracting attention." Reed also again dismissed speculation surrounding the future of star players Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana. "It's been very easy because none of it is true, there are no deals done and no deals being discussed," he said.
"I'm not saying it's not going to happen, but at the moment nothing is being discussed."
Fairly clear in what he meant to say.

I literally have no idea what you're talking about. I was referring to Reed saying "no enquiries have been made for any players" and someone saying Krueger said we had been "batting away phone calls every day". I again invite you to actually read what I said, and I await your apology for being so patronising earlier.

Anyone arguing about semantics is onto a hiding to nothing because it is eminently clear what I meant and anyone who doesn't understand has clearly not bothered to read it.

I looked at NewsNow for various news reports and it seems that Lallana 'comitted future to Southampton' yesterday, and Liverpool 'handed decisive blow in hopes of signing Adam Lallana'.

    Late to the party

A lot of focus on Adams last award speech, but none on earlier speeches where he was asked more comfortable questions and infused passionately about the style of play and the improvements to his game.
I met Adam and a few of the players when we were still in league one. I was sat next to their table at a bar and naturally ear wigged on the conversation before I braved up and said hello and wished them luck for the rest of the season.
What came across from my ear wigging was just how much Adam loved football. When you go on a works night out you always get at least one guy who wants to talk about work and Adam was that guy. I remember him talking about how MK Dons hated it when they pressed the ball higher up the pitch(MK would be having kittens at the press now) .

Nothing in my mind has changed since January in regards the clubs future. Keep Pochettino and everything else falls into place.

Plenty of newspapers and internet space has been filled and I enjoy the speculation
