Does this Liverpool collapse compare with the other biggest Prem meltdowns? United 2012, 1998, 1992 (OK, Div 1 I know) Arsenal 03, 08, 14, 1999, too many to mention Newcastle 95 Five points clear with three games left... two at home, one against a club playing their B team. May not be the worst, but it could be funniest. Hopefully City draw on Wednesday to take the drama to the last day!!
They got Istanbul'd. Watched it with a bunch of Liverpool fans bragging about the Norwich result. Collapse.
The chokes! "Who the f*ck is John Simm?"
You couldn't make it up. Quids in and let it slip. Seems Arsenal is the Team coming home strongest, which is some kind of miracle itself.
As much as I enjoyed watching Liverpool choke (my mrs is a scouse fan and a title win for 'pool would make the next 20 years at home a nightmare!) I think it is us who have choked; Sunderland and Norwich were the big ones. Where would we be with 5 more points??!!
We bottled it too no doubt, but Scouse one with media behind them worse. And we didn't throw any three goal leads!
United 98 was quite bad but to be fair Arsenal had loads of games in hand. Liverpool's was somewhat more funny because of the media bias & declaring them Champions elect etc.

Chelsea this season is far bigger than Liverpool - it was already in City's hands anway all you lot had to do was beat a couple of Norwich, Villa, Sunderland, and Palace in the last month or so and you only managed one point. It was the easiest chance at a title of anyone of the top 3 and you wee'ed it away spectacularly. And you only managed one goal in those 4 matches. Combined.
Don't be silly mate. We were juggling two competitions whereas you were fresh playing once a week and had three games left, two of which were at home. You only needed a single point against Chelsea's 2nd string containing a debutant CB and Ivanovic (who hadn't played at CB for over a year) and got none. - Chelsea's 2nd string (HOME) - Mathematically safe Crystal Palace (AWAY) - Newcastle in disarray (HOME)
we won 11 straight then couldn't beat a top side who put in the defensive performance of the season. Season over. You had to win two matches out of 4 against Norwich, Palace, Sunderland and Villa to guarantee a title. And you only managed to score once
True. But we didn't piss away a three goal lead, and our chances, in the last 14 mins against a piss poor team.
Enjoy the delusion. We were never strong odds on favourites, like you were, in advance of the Gerrard slip. We were never more than evens for the title. You were 9/2 on And we certainly did not lose a 3-goal lead with ten mins to go.
Isnt nice? Aw, you miss us then do you? There is a scouser amongst you anyway, have you seen Lon Only's several Liverpool threads?
probably the only time i have ever sided with a pool fan but you lost away to villa, at home to sunderland, away to palace and drew at home to norwich in the last month...we took 12 point from those fixtures and we are **** and have a complete cock for a manager so my vote goes to chelsea being the chokers for this season...the biggest of all time though has to be Newcastle under keegan
