Barring a miracle- looks like you guys have the title. I want to congratulate you- I'm glad we gave you a decent chase, but truth be told- City are deserving champions this year. Great squad, attractive football. Thank goodness it's yours instead of Chelsea! LOL

Thanks for bring the trophy back to the North!

See... just as I said. You beat Villa.

Absolutely no chance of losing it against West Ham now. None at all!

/ being honest- and not joking... fat Sam is rather crap

Well done to your manager for playing good football and really motivating a top squad who lost their way under pellegrini well done city

Well played Man City, least its still a rival of Man Utd's so they won't like it :)

Been a City fan far too long to contemplate celebrating prematurely

<laugh> Fair play, mate. Had a friend who was a massive City fan, until they dropped two leagues pretty quickly, and then he was briefly a Bolton fan until Keegan(? or someonne) dragged them back up where they belonged, then he went back to supporting them again. We took te p*ss mercilessly for that bit of club jumping, but he took it quite well, tbh. <ok>

PPLF a genuine question for you. Back in 1979 i worked in Manchester for 6 months with my uncle on the building sites. At that time you didn't need a ticket to go to a match you just turned up on the day. I used to go see Utd one week and City the next week. My cousins brought me in to the Kippax and i always remember there used to be someone that played a cow bell during the match. To be honest it had gone out of my mind until i was watching your game against Villa during the week and i heard that bell again !! I Don't know your age or if you were around that time but i was intrigued to know would that have been the same person or maybe a relative if that person had passed on. Maybe you could find that information out for me. P.S. I like your "view from the opposition" posts. Pity there are not more posters on the City site.

She died in 2005
Helen Turner used to run the away club coaches in the 70s and 80s for the supporters club, she went to every game,
Joe corrigan used to get some lucky heather from her before every home game, she used to sit behind the goal in the north stand. Met her a few times, she was quite friendly with my nan who lived near her in ardwick.Nice lady but very eccentric
The bell at the villa game came from the south stand near the away fans,no idea if it's related to Helen or not

P.P.L.F. Thanks for that info. It certainly brings me back to that time in the late 70's. City had a good team that time with Big Mal as their manager with his fedora ! My own team Chelsea were in the old 2nd division that time and i got to see them play at Oldham and Burnley. Don't think my 2 Utd cousins were too pleased bringing me. Happy and innocent days ! Good luck tomorrow buddy and enjoy the celebrations....don't drink too much <cheers>.

City this year have shown the composure especially in the run in, the Everton win was a good example.
100% a win for City today to take the title in style. Given how you dealt with Villa there is 0 chance West Ham will win this game.

Especially when Demichelis is on fire<laugh>
