There's not many experienced managers without baggage. Essentially we need somebody who can do a job for us and get us back up.
It was rather satisfying to see Mourinho hoist by his own petard so to speak. Rule number one of appointing managers: never appoint a manager based on a good preformance as a caretaker.
[SUB][/SUB] Tactically out thought Mourinho. Getting 11 players behind the ball? Bloody genius. Get rid the sentiment and get in a manager who will get us up at the first time of asking.
I'm a fan of consistency, Adams knows our problems and the youth players who could be important next year. However its a big job for him and lots of the things he would have to do over the summer would be alien to him. If we kept Adams we would need a Director of Football I think to take some of the load and help Adams out, hopefully an ex-manager who can also do some mentoring. My preferred arrangement though would be bringing in an experience manager, perhaps Lennon, with adams in as number two getting experience making him a more realistic candidate next time the job opens up.
Eddie Howe won't leave Bournemouth, his wife was the cause of him having to come back. He's going to be limited to London and the south, very much like Redknapp.
From the article below: “I’m Norwich through and through and I wouldn’t have taken it if I didn’t want it,” he said. “The reaction from the players has been excellent. I was given it until after the Arsenal game and that is how it remains." http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...the_premier_league_relegation_scrap_1_3587256 That's the first time that it's been confirmed that Adams is actually only caretaker manager I believe.
Zola anyone? i did notice he was at the game on Sunday, though being Stamford Bridge, not that surpising, but couldnt help but wonder if there was anything else in it?
Although he might get us playing football, when it came to having to 'mix it up', both West Ham and Watford fans thought he struggled.
