Yeah, sadly born and bread in Basingstoke, so I'm not sure if Houston's a step up or down!

Not that it makes it any more or less believable, but currently on holiday in Madrid. And it wasn't an attempt at a WUM, just interested in what you guys would/wouldn't accept, and curious about who you'd look to buy.

(Personally, I recon a bid of £80 mil plus Benzema wouldn't be bad business)

throw in Alonso as well and even i MIGHT be tempted lol, just feel he is too valuable though and rather have him than the money if we want the big prizes in football.

£60million.Hes worth no more

You wont find too many Liverpool fans upset with that sort of offer as it means we don't lose our star player :)

Every player has a value. The only thing we truly know is that FSG/LFC place Suarez's value very high - but they are not going to put a price on it.

If that price were offered or even exceeded then I'm sure that they would consider it. Again, what I don't know is if they would still sell him. They could conclude that their valuation had been too low considering the prospects ahead. Either way, any club considering bidding for his services now knows very well that the price would be very high to even start negotiations.

If FSG/LFC did sell him then I would hope that we did not do a Spurs. The money for strengthening the quality of the squad has already been pledged. Therefore money from Suarez'z sale should be mostly used to buy exceptional quality replacements over and above the agreed spend.

Depends where you live in Houston mate, southeastcHouston is rough as a bears arse and so is Pasadena any Greenspoint(guns point), so anywhere other than those places is a step up from Basingstoke.

Thats still more than the entire Man U squad, including Rooney.

Rooney is already a negative equity. The value of his contract far exceeds his market value.

On holiday again today.

I would turn down any offer for him , tbh- unless there is no way we can possibly hold on to him- as in, we felt he was going to have a tantrum and refuse to play properly because of it.
We know what we have with him, and even with three players we can't be certain of matching his current influence on the team (let alone surpassing it- which is what we should be looking to do).
Money could possibly improve the squad, but the above-mentioned Spurs are a prime example of how it can go so horribly wrong.
