Annie Power aims to end her season on a high in tomorrow's Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Champion Hurdle at Punchestown after meeting with the first defeat of her career last month. To read the rest

Did you see the interview wit Rich Ricci the other day on ATR? Said he never ran Annie Power against HF because he only wants Ruby riding her. What a load of old bollix

He is a plonker. Ruby is a super jockey, but what difference would it make having Townend on, or even a Barry G or Davy Russell? Minimal I would say.

Davy and Bazza G both riding out of their skins at the moment, top top jockeys (nearly as good a Sam Twiston-Davis <laugh>)

Rich Ricci -the guy is a twat and was a fat cat banker who along with others made a mess of the banking system and took the p**s out of the general public.

I dont understand why they want to continue to avoid the champion 2 mile hurdlers - I will laugh again if she gets beat tomorrow just as i did at Cheltenham!!

Annie Power doesn't understand any of the banking nonsense though CP and surely if she runs and wins well you can admire her for that, it isn't her fault who owns her, she is a superb horse and if she wins tomorrow or any day she should be appreciated for that fact just the same as any other horse should imo.

I really hope they don't take the Quevega approach with her and farm the Mares Hurdle and Punchestown every year. No offence to Quevega but she really never did get extended did she.

They think she's a Gold Cup horse stick and she look's a likely type too so I imagine we will see her over the big sticks soon enough.

Absolutely STH... just clouds my judgement at times. I dont think she'll ever be a horse I warm to but if she wins well tomorrow I will of course accept and appreciate class when I see it!

She might go for the World Hurdle to seek revenge. Ruby will know which horse to follow next time <laugh>
