I have to say that I am outraged that Eden Hazard, who Mourinho was kind enough to make the key player of his team, has repaid his benefactor so unkindly. He did switch off for the decisive first goal as well, making me wonder if more than ungracious words were involved in his transfer request.
Unfortunately, as has been said, Hazard is a mercenary. As I was quoted in my old profession, "If you want loyalty, buy a ****ing dog!"
Continuing to be loyal to someone who has just chopped your nuts off is a devotion too far, I feel. More akin to stupidity, than loyalty.
I'm fascinated by the bust-up between Chelsea's manager and his best player. Will Hazard play the next game? Will he and Mourinho exchange a word? Is he on his way to PSG or somewhere else? Abramovich must find it even more fascinating than I do.
Chelsea fans would've blown a gasket if Mata and Hazard were sold before Mourinho arrived. But they happily followed the Special One's "wisdom" in selling Mata and no doubt would do the same if he sold Hazard. You're right about Abramovich though. Mata was one of the first players to be signed in an overhaul that was supposed to give Chelsea the kind of squad that could play the attacking, technical football that Barcelona played. The revolution never happened but the idea didn't seem to be canceled as they opted for evolution with players like Oscar and Hazard being brought in as the older, stubborn players got fazed out. Mourinho's doing his best to undo all that by dropping and selling those kinds of players in favour of work horses with less skill. It will definitely be interesting to see what Roman makes of this, if he lets Mourinho go ahead with replacing anyone with technique and vision then Chelsea will be left at square one again if he leaves/ gets sacked.
Our friends at the Society For Black Lawyers are back in the news, stating that Constance Briscoe's 16 month sentence for perverting the course of justice is racist.
Mourinho's slagged Hazard off in his Friday press conference, blaming him for Atletico's equaliser and criticising his workrate. Doesn't sound good, does it?
So, if I've got this straight. According to the discrimatory racists at the black lawyers society, somebody who is supposed to not only be upholding the law, but was in a position to pass judgement on others, has been given, what I would consider a light sentence, for someone who was in her position - and that is racist?? I'm surprised the prosecution haven't appealed to get her sentence increased.
I might advise Mourinho to go on the field in protective armor. Hazard does have a prior for assaulting club employees on the pitch.
