Anyone else go to the watford game at vicarage road for his 'debut' against us. I remember being there, and much like Reidy, thought who the fkuc is this little pain in the arse. He ripped us to shreds so Reidy signed him. One of his better moves.

Didn't realise another North east old boy, Glen Roeder, game him his chance at Watford.

I knew that but can't remember his debut against us.

SKP says in his book that Reidy told him he remembered his debut against us and that's why he signed him, which conflicts with the other story that we were actually after Connolly from Watford and when we realised we couldn't get him, we took his partner instead.

I once came across Monty shopping with his missus in Darlington. I was going pub to pub on a massive bender. I started chanting his name at the top of my voice in the middle of a busy market day. People looked at me chanting at this old man like I was crazy. He and his missus loved it. They must get it all the time.
