Atletico got nothing from their first leg, when Jose was going for a draw. Today the bus rolled forward a bit to try and get a win. Lol

Didn't know the bus had wheels, thought you ****ers had stolen them in Liverpool last week?

Chelsea 1 - 3 Football. Great result.
Imagine all teams played like Chelsea week in week out. The league would share about 50 supporters between the clubs <doh>

Of course Jose was really prioritising the PL as first, but fooled us all into thinking it was the CL<laugh>

not sure really .. tbh even best managers will need time to adjust to PL style of football
Pep produced one of best football i ever seen with Barca, but he is not a proven manager yet .. so it is kind a gamble
meanwhile, given our horrible experience with Moyes, I prefer someone like Pep who like to attack over managers who try to play safe football look what attacking football turned Liverpool into

The trouble is how does he prove himself in nearly all the leagues outside the prem? Italian, French, Dutch, German don't prove your mettle much imo, unless you win the CL. He could win another couple of league titles in a weak German league and still not be tested enough for the prem.

Agree completely about your last bit, attacking football always <ok> but I laugh at the hypocrisy of the pundits and media at the moment. Every club that's ever defended like Chelsea has ALWAYS been defended by the press/pundits with phrases like "you play to your strengths" and "manager X is there to look after the interests of his club" while I would cringe at such a horrid footballing philosophy. But what's being said now isn't about Chelsea, IT'S ABOUT LIVERPOOL. Because those tactics were done against Liverpool, at a time when everyone expected/wanted Liverpool to win and were polishing the trophy and getting it ready to inscribe their name - that is why the media machine has gone into full swing to start blackening the same tactics they've defended in the past. That is what is so fickle sadly.

Who's everyone? Everton fans? Arsenal fans? United fans? Chelsea fans? ect ect.

Also, it's not about a team playing like that. it is about a £180m squad of talented players play like that. You expect that from a major underdog not from a squad of international stars. Oscar Hazard Schurle Ba Torres Eto'o forced to play trench warfare. There's many a manager that would take your hand off if offered those payers

Besides look where it got them, you can't sit back and luck your way to the CL every year. Maureen proves that, 8 semi finals and only got past two of them.

"Everyone" in the context of the rest of my post - namely the media press and pundits who lets face it are full of ex-liverpool players or football writers who clearly have a soft spot for them. As many of you liverpool fans have been pointing out for weeks..."most neutrals want Liverpool to win the title". You can't have it both ways mate <ok>

We've been hearing nothing but this nonsense about Chelsea defending, being debated on every sports/radio channel for days. I doubt it would have lasted longer than the Sunday if Chelsea had been playing against Arsenal.

As for those Chelsea players you mentioned (of those that were available) I would pick out Hazard, and possibly Oscar from those names, and that's it. They also had a horrible makeshift back 4 with players played out of position and a 41 year old in goal. BUT PUT ALL THAT TO ONE SIDE SISU. Man City (£250million squad) were doing that under Mancini and NOBODY gave it more than a footnote. In fact they ONLY criticised him when he lost playing that way. BUT when he won or needed the draw (as against Arsenal towards the end of a season a few years ago) the media soon moved on.... and I didn't hear many Liverpool fans complaining about it either.
