We need a target man, but I don't think Barnett is the right player. I liked James Spencer (Notts Co) - his short-term deal runs out in the summer
Barnett is in no way the answer I agree. I also agree we need a target man. Finding the right one has proved difficult for city. Off the top of my head I think we have had 2 successful target men since 2007/08, Being Adebola and Iwelumo. Stead, whilst a big lad wasn't really a target man but was a very good striker for us. Aside from those 2 every other tall striker we've got in have been pretty terrible! Until Freeman has been signed by us or someone else, expect to hear this lads name being linked with us every other day!
Birmingham for 6 months on form us for 6 months off form and not really used two seasons ago. So scoring for Millwall then Leicester for the past season and half. Yeah one season wonder
That time of the year already and how nice it will be not to hear us linked with players from down in the non-league darkness. Maybe we will be linked with someone from down there as we were once with "whatshisname" from Ebbsfleet and then look what happened to him. John Akinde of course!
I don't think Cotterill is that kind of manager, he's signs people he knows (which means 9 out of 10 times so do we) You can tell that by the signings he's made already, not sure if that was because we needed experience but I hope we see some good solid signings in the summer, this team/club is ready to go up. We just need the right man to take us their.
Always gave him a great reception. Maybe one to target?http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27237324

I liked him too but if we signed him where would he play? Williams and Cunningham take up the left side of defence. God knows what formation we'll play next season but if we stick with the 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 then I can't see him getting ahead of Williams or Cunningham. Interesting summer ahead!
3-5-2 worries me, we need wingers, both right and left. If we buy Freeman would he want to play in the wingback position?? I don't think so
Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson and eight of his players are in the final year of their contracts. They are: Kasper Schmeichel (pictured), Sean St Ledger, Marcin Wasilewski, Zak Whitbread, Neil Danns, Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Lloyd Dyer, David Nugent. One or two there that would be unlikely to feature in the Premier League that would interest me- Not sure how many if any would drop to League 1?
