Cech and Terry return to training

Can't see Cech playing tomorrow. He was only on very light training and struggled to lift his arms over his head, so it'll probs be Schwarzer. I think Terry is 50/50, but the signs are encouraging. Think Eto'o and Hazard are a definite.
 
I knew Mourinho was lying about the prognosis. Came far too early. Is he even on nodding terms with the truth?

That was my thinking. Cech maybe an outside chance for the final if we made it. No point rushing him back for the league games and tomorrow is clearly too soon. If Terry has any chance of playing he should. Defence is crucial tomorrow.
 
I wouldn't play either of them. I think Cole has done really well since coming in and Iva and Cahill can play in the middle. Same with Schwarzer, come in and done really well and wouldn't risk Cech. I think the team we have without those two is good enough to get through. Would be nice to have Hazard and Eto'o though!

I can see the will to win and determination of Terry and have a grudging respect for it (although there are less savoury characteristics). However my point was about Mourinho. There is no way he would know the Cech was out for the season and that Terry would only play again if you reached the final within an hour of the game ending.

Perhaps. You could know re Cech IMO depending on the injury. If it was a dislocated shoulder, that takes a certain amount of time to heal so could reasonably assume he'd be out for the season given there is only a couple of weeks left.

Terry granted.

Big calls over Terry, Hazard and Eto'o but for me Cole has been magnificent two games running and on form deserves his start, what we don't need it Terry starting and then getting crocked again. Schurrle and Hazard was a toss-up but we need that extra spark from the Belgian and he should be recovered. Ba has done great over the last few games, Torres too, maybe they have realised a chance to play in the Champions League final is at stake and have upped their games. Eto'o usually gets the big game nod at home when fit.

Assuming fit it'll almost certainly be Eto'o up front given it's a big game at home. Ba does give us options in respect of someone who can hold the ball up and provide an aerial threat / outlet so may be brought on later especially if we are ahead.

We really really need a fit Hazard starting. We've struggled going forward without him these last few games.

Didn't say it was - only that it is totally transparent. I don't suppose Simeone changed his plans particularly cause Terry rather than Ivanovich was going to play Centre half. So why bother?

Both Cech and Terry. We'd be a lot more vulnerable without both captain and vice captain plus one of our most prominent figures in Cech.
 
i wouldn't play terry, fit he'd shore up the defence but if he's 50% then I'd hate to see him make a serious error because of that. Hazard and Etoo have been wrapped in cotton wool so wouldn't be suprised to see them getting 60 mins each. I just hope if oscar plays tomorrow he's niceley refreshed-he's been poor recently.
