The fat lady has stepped onto the stage as Sunderland currently lead 10 man Cardiff 2.0 - possibly the worst result for us.
The Black Cats, although they have still to go to Old Trafford, have two winnable home game still to come. The good news is Cardiff and Fulham are still behind us - but who else could be in the frame?
Looking at the remaining fixtures and assuming we can win the last two games I think the only side we could realistically catch is West Ham as they don't seem capable of getting another point.
    Here's hoping.

3-0 now, Sunderland will probably finish half way up the table. It's all set us for us to relegate Lambert on the final day the Emirates.
    How beautiful would that be?

After beating Chelsea away and Arsenal? The penny hasn`t dropped still? We are finished.

Sunderland could still blow it. Lose at MU, then screw up at home to WBA, and again to Swansea. It is possible. Unlikely, but possible.

All I've wanted for a long time is to go into the last match needing a result to stay up. Unfortunately that now looks highly unlikely and in all probability we will be relegated next weekend.

The board have got to get it right with the next manager.
He needs to be in place very early in the summer to start re building the mess Hughtons left behind.
I'm not worried who goes in the summer after how they played yesterday very few are fit to pull on the shirt.
IMO a whole sale squad over haul is needed if we are to get back up before the money runs out and we're back to needing loan players to get by.

The players have looked a shambles, I'll accept that. (Although another part of me says that they are a shambles because they have been taught to be scared of their own shadows and just to overthink in general, but I promised I wouldn't make any more negative comments about the old regime.)

I just want a fresh start. Completely 100% fresh. Like opening all the windows to let a bad smell out of the room.

I'll lay even money that the board will stick with Adams, I'm not saying that's the right thing to do, but I've just got this gut feeling they will go for the cheapest option.
