The venture capitalist is securing the future of the club. We'll see how much money is made available over the next month or two. Rangers have been successful with a very tight budget so why worry as long as the future of the club is secure?

As for the oldest rookie in Europe, being an assistant didn't do Rangers most succesful manager of modern times any harm did it? A good few years training as Smith assistant is a far better schooling than that 'Ginger Brit' of a manager Celtic have.

Walter showed Ally how to win three leagues in a row. Who knows, maybe getting beaten by the Ginger Brit will be beneficial in the long run.
