Well obviously. Any side with their goal difference would have to be lucky. Put pressure on their defence and you should score, when we finally did put more pressure we did.
This is how much it meant to them today when Long equalised...a picture paints a thousand etc etc etc
Evertons defeat moves us even closer to playing in Europe next season ! Anyone saying City in Europe not so long ago would have been put in a nut house. To all those going to the cup final, Enjoy Wembley win or lose... Celebrate that YOU was there.
I'm not going to read this thread, the last page or two suggest I'm best off sticking with just reading the ending. I hate us playing 3-5-2(I think I may have mentioned this already), we always look uncomfortable(other than Liverpool at home), Bruce is not a PL player, Aluko is and he just saved the day. Aluko just singlehandedly won us the point that secures our safety, he deserves more recognition than he gets, along with Huddz, he's our most talented player.
Nice one City. I have been trying to keep tabs on the game with poor 5live reception driving across France. Brilliant result - all but safe and we can focus fully on winning the cup. What a season and what a manager.
A draw in the game tomorrow makes us safe. Sunderland and Cardiff can only match our points and our goal difference basically means we're safe.
Would you have started with Aluko? I just cannot see 90 minutes in him yet. My only concerns are that he doesn't get past defenders and loses the ball easily, but that is the nature of players like him. His creativity is refreshing and he finds spaces that elude others, but......
Look what happens when we have a team with only players like Rosie, Elmo, Meyler, etc. They are 'dependable' but none of them are ever going to do something special, and that is what is needed in the premier league. You need a mixture of dependability and talent.
I don't go too often but I enjoyed today. Got lucky that my seat was up near the back so I got to stand for 90 minutes. Atmosphere was pretty flat for the first 30 minutes of the second half and Fulham fans only woke up when they scored. I always have a go at Castro for talking about standing and singing when I think they can be mutually exclusive. However, if all the singers are going to stand then you need to be near them to feed off the atmosphere. I reckon I would have had a much duller match had I been near the front. A lot of the game was dross. Sloppy passes and dodgy defending. The players really didn't look up for it and yet showed great elation and team spirit after both the equaliser and at full time. Once we got the second I thought we were going to do to them what Pompey did to us in 2010.
I wouldn't have started Aluko, but I'd have brought him on at half time. We needed to put them under more pressure, Bruce is not a PL footballer, I'd have replaced him with Boyd or Aluko at half time. Fortunately, we did soon enough, but we could have won today. Bruce has been great for us, but he goes too defensive too early, we have the talent to outplay teams, we're better if we don't go defensive.
Forkin hell, you're brave! Hope you've got your tin hat ready, any criticism of the manager or players, specially the managers tactics, is a big no no. Support and praise only. Stuart Blampey, Polly and co will be on here to rip the absolute piss out of you for posting that, and rightly so, you pissy pants whinging tart.
