Moyes to Tottenham? How long til hes reported as a target for your club as you look for a new manager? Would you be happy if he was or would it fill you dread? Along with ourselves ( United ) and possibly Arsenal and Chelsea all 4 could be looking for a new manager this summer. I think we will get van Gaal ( sorry ).
Before we saw him come undone at your place, I think a lot of us would have been happy to have him as our manager. Now, I don't think so. But If Levy is about to keep up his abysmal track record though, I'm sure that's who we'll get!
has he already been linked? ive not been paying attention. Im sure you can understand why I havent been following the life of david Moyes after he ****ed my club up.
Alas he has. And we can imagine you aren't following Moysie the same way we aren't following the life and times or gross/santini/avb/ramos etc etc.
Manager swap... could do the league some good. Moyes to Spurs. Sherwood to United. If we wanted to make things really fun: Mourinho to Arsenal. Wenger to Chelsea. Shake things up a little! Wenger the voyeur would probably hide cameras at the Emirates to spy on Jose.
Gaal's got to be thinking to himself, "I know I'm being linked to the United job, but do I really want to manage a mid table club? Especially as the mighty Spurs have already expressed an interest?" Yes, I'm pretty sure that that's what he'll be asking himself.
I'd genuinely rather give Sherwood a proper shot at the Spurs job than have Spurs serve as a rehab centre for Moyes.
Yes... for certain. 7th place is after all mid table mediocrity... but 6th place- why that's in the land of legends, unicorns, and free beer flowing from everyone's taps. If I were Gaal, I'd pick 6th over 7th any day of the week! Besides, who ever heard of United? They're just Newcastle United without the Newcastle.
What about an ex-manager-swap of Sherwood to Norwich and Hughton to Spurs (as Assistant, of course)? Or is this the right time to call in a favour from Real Madrid - on the basis of our "special relationship" - I do hope that doesn't work just one-way.........
Tottenham weigh up gamble on David Moyes Umm... wasn't that practically the same headline about 2 years ago but just substitute Moyes for Villas-Boas? When ever Teflon Dan gambles, we lose. He's a hapless idiot obsessed with getting a bargain at the cost of success. Get this idiot of out of our club before it's too late!
I don't think it's just Moyes who has messed up for United.I equally blame their players, who obviously have no respect for their manager......and that skeleton in the cupboard (Ferguson) who should just disappear back to Scotland and stop standing behind Moyes like a vulture!!!!!!
When did the first Link occur? 1986 on the NES. please log in to view this image Still prefer the Final Fantasy series, though. Well, apart from anything with XIII in its title...
You only have to look at what happened to Everton when Moyes departed and what happened to United when he arrived to realise it would be madness to give Moyes a job at Spurs, but you just know Levy will be considering it.
Bargain Basement Levy will obviously be interested. We can only hope that enough of us cause a stir for it to get reported back to him that Moyes would be less acceptable to us fans than Sherwood - and he'll already know that we're pissed off with Sherwood.
Maybe. Or perhaps hes thinking, "who the hell are Tottenham and why are they calling me" Its van gaal after all so that probably the case.
Sherwood over Moyes for me, too. Easily. Assuming both would fail (not a bad bet, considering) Sherwood's team would be a more interesting, attacking and goal-scoring failure.
Never thought I'd ever say this but I'd keep Sherwood over Moyes any day. Surely he will improve as a manager in the coming years... Moyes will just stick to his tired and outdated Sunday league methods no matter what.
