Thank you Ak, but the answer I wanted was just about Sark. Alderney don't celebrate their liberation, they prefer to celebrate "Homecoming Day" when the islanders who were expatriated returned, which is on 15th December.
Arnaldur Indriðason is an Icelandic crime writer, with his novels set on the island. Magnus Cathedral is in Orkney and is named after St. Magnus whose relics are thought to be there. Could St. Magnus appear in one of his books? Never read any so wouldn't know if he uses historical facts. Apart from this I am lost.
There's also one on he Faroe Islands founded by Bishop Erlendur... If you like crime fiction, the novels are worth a read.
You are one smal step away. Bishop Erlendur is correct, now for the link to Arnaldur Indriðason. What is your name? superthickerhoopser. Very polite, but I only want your name Hoop. Not you intelligence.
I hought I had indicated that OldFrenchHorn and Theo found the answer between them. One of them can make a new question.
Theo is in France, so as I am in France too, here is an easy one before I depart for my holiday in France. Who was the last Watford manager to name the same starting eleven for ten consecutive league matches?
Name the Watford goalkeepers and their countries who amassed more than 100 international caps each in their careers.
Is this a trick question? Are the caps for something other that football? I ask because the only players I can find are Pat Jennings for N. Ireland and Tony Meola but I think he only (!) got 100 caps for the USA, not more than 100 as the question asks.
NZ you are 2/3 of the way there..... You might be right re Meola and "only" 100..... There is a third goalie... I think 120 games of his country
