It really is difficult to tell
If Giggs can conjure up a spell,
When we pass their way
Or whether they´ll stay
Quite ordinary until the bell

And just like Adams, it would seem
United, to pick up some steam,
Have used the old ploy
And called an old boy
To spark some life into the team

With him he´ll have Scholes by his side
So lack of fight they won´t abide,
And we´ll need to be
Right up for this spree
To dampen their Old Trafford pride

No time to give them a head start
As happened last week on our part,
But if we can keep
Them down to a peep
We could upset the apple cart

This was a good chance to bring joys
If they had still been under Moyes,
But just as we saw
Someone new can draw
More energy out of the boys

So now I´m not sure anymore
How much confidence we can draw,
That their season´s done
As they´ll just have fun
Which could for us mean, Murphy´s Law. OTBC

Well said sir, I would have preferred Mr. Moyes to still be at the helm, but if we're to extend our stay, we'll have to produce a result from somewhere!

So it is all about Giggs and the MU circus, according to the media. Well I'm a great fan of Jean-Paul Sartre, who memorably once said:
'In football everything is complicated by the presence of the other team'. OTBC

Johnson is my biggest worry, not sure if he should play, he's great at creating goal scoring opportunities but then goes and gives the opposition a goal scoring opportunity through a silly blunder.

You make a good point. Johnson is surprisingly one of our most creative players, he only pulls it off about 60% of the time but he clearly has great vision and he loves to spread the play around. He also does a great job of getting in the box to support the strikers, as he did for Hooper's goal last weekend. But then he goes and gifts a silly ball to the opposition or tries to be too clever and ends up tying himself in knots. He has the brain but nor the technique for the game. I'd personally have Tettey/Fer/Howson as I feel that midfield has more control and Tettey is a bit more solid (Though he's had a few slips this season that have resulted in goals, seems endemic of our squad at the moment). I think there is just a bit more energy and speed without Johnson and that means that less dangers develop so we don't have to spend as much time worrying about the defence. That being said, Johnson's pressing game is the best in our squad. He repeatedly charged at the Liverpool defence last week and never gave them time to rest. It's a tough call but I'd still go for Tettey.

I like that gg, and very true it is too, unfortunately it works both ways - while there´s life there´s hope!

Great post and certainly has been my increasingly my feeling about Johnson over the last few months. When it goes well (e.g. against ?Sunderland I think) he is awesome and turns in 85%+ pass completion. If he could just work on his technique he really would be good.

It's for that reason I actually think stick with him.

Although he also said “I am. I am, I exist, I think, therefore I am; I am because I think, why do I think? I don't want to think any more, I am because I think that I don't want to be, I think that I . . . because . . . ugh!” ,

Which all points to the fact he was mad as a box of - ahem -Frogs! <laugh>
