1. De Gea has been putting in some great performances and does not need to be replaced. Rather the focus needs to be on recruiting a quality left back and a quality and experienced centre back to replace vidic and Ferdinand. 2. If Rooney had had a medical at spurs and arsenal then there would have no doubt been some media reports supporting this. 3. United do not need a manager who waves his arms about, rather we need someone who is tactically astute and can alter his tactics to meet changing circumstances on the pitch.
