Maureen anyone?

You should have taken him when you had the chance imo, but I wonder if you could tempt him again now? As his body language and general demeanour at Chelsea has been shocking of late...

I'd rather suck **** through a straw than have Jose at United.

Be great if the new manager wastes £100m on transfers like Spurs did!

But be serious, when a new defence, wingers and central midfielders needed to win the league. £100m wont be enough as a World Class player cost at least £30m.

That would be around 3 players only they could buy with that budget.

I thought the same too last year...(although I wouldn't go to that extreme).

The way United are at the moment I would rule anyone out who can fix this. The long term philosophy has been truly ditched. Short term here we come <ok>

Not a chance.

Yes ancelotti would be a great choice. I mean its not like hes doing well at madrid and has CL footie to look forward to next season. Wake up fistian you deluded fool, your most realistic option is klopp, keane or giggsy.

I think you are aiming too low with your last 2 options. Keane - great player but average manager and Giggs untried, so I don't think you want to go down that route - although I am sure Giggs will be an integral part of the backroom team. YOU ARE MAN UTD after all - and the job will interest every manager in Europe worth his salt - even with no Champions League next year. The names other have mentioned; Van Gaal, Ancelotti, Mourhinio, Guardiola etc are the caliber of manager you should expect.

You and every other United fan would love him after seconds of him being our manager.

everyone else would hate us at a level not yest witnessed by civilised non religious man.

Not a chance.

Long shot I agree. But it could be his last chance to manage the biggest and most successful club in England. There would no downside for him to take the job. Increase his already high profile, and if successful he will be adored worldwide by billions of people.

If the greedy Glazers give the huge funds he would need (up to £300m I still believe!), he could be tempted..<ok>

Why wouldnt he? Hes a major fan of van Gaal and the 2 want to work together. May even lead to de Boar taking charging 2 or 3 years down the line.

He's currently managing Ajax though isn't he? Would he really give up that role to become a member of someone's backroom team?

United are paying for their arrogance: we do things the United way now.

What worked 26 years ago, does not work now necessarily, giving him a six year contract spoke of the club's arrogance and how out of touch the club had become.

The best managers Jose, Pep, Ancelotti are unavailable for a couple of seasons now so you are going to have to get a second tier manager now.

But he will be better than Moyes at least. And Ancelotti and Jose are unlikely to last that long at Real/cfc. Say Jose lasts two or three seasons more max, and Carlo one or two. So you could get one of them soon.

No one is mentioning the Juve manager...

Chelsea fans have this belief that United couldnt get whats theres.

Of course we could. Chelsea to United is and always has been a step up.

Anyone who believe Jose would currently drop everything to go to United is seriously dumb

Its whats been reported pretty continuously for a few months now.

Manager at Ajax or assistant ( feel it would be a managerial duo ) at United.

Easy decision really.
