He got sacked because he'd become a total donk, was signing donkeys and failed to get you in the top 4. There's a lot of revisionist ****e written about the FSW.
Benitez does divide opinion, I really like him for obvious reasons so that probably clouds my judgement. He is some way off the top in Serie A at the moment, lying 3rd and 22 points behind Juve "and that us, City and Chelsea will be back breathing down your neck next season when the games are coming thicker and fast" Thats true and I think that will always be the case. Lets get this season done with first though, ours isnt over yet As for the one off season well again we'll see who we sign etc. And as proven the biggest budget doesnt guarantee success, it helps alot obviously but doesnt pprint your name on any trophy
If Klopp is not available ( though everyone is available ) then for me its van Gaal. van Gaal, the man who Bayern fans consider the reason for their current reign, the man who has won the league at EVERY CLUB hes been at, the man who doesnt bow to player power, Champions League finalist in 2010, Champions League winner. I think he would be the most successful manager in the division with a range of experience at all kinds of clubs under all kinds of owners. Hes brought through some of world footballs greatest ever players and the most important bit..... gets his team playing good football. In fact, I am no good at odds or how to find them but what are the odds of van Gaal coming in and then winning the league in his first season? He also works great with what he has. If Klopp is not available yet this guy has my vote. Whoever it is I hope they are crazy.
No mate, he signed donkeys as the owners wouldnt splash the cash but I know you disagree about the net spend and I cant get into it as im busy, been on here too much already this morning! "There's a lot of revisionist ****e written about the FSW. " What do you mean by that though?
UIR, you need to change your signature to "Farewell to the legends that are David Moyes, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra & Nemanja Vidic."
What I mean by that is largely summed up by your first sentence! He spent £35m on Aquilani and Johnson ffs, the man had rapidly become a liability by his latter days at Anfield. You were all blinded by May '05 though and ignored what everyone else could plainly see - he'd become a ****ing stooge.
Ok Sisu. No need to get all enraged. And you do not have to use your other identity as a ******ed scouser either...
He would be short term but that's perhaps not the end of the world. I would prefer him to Mourinho, who is unlikely anyway. Of the other candidates I mentioned, and I mentioned them because they are the current football manager elite and that is who we should be after and who would be interested, Klopp and van Gaal appear to be the most likely candidates. Dortmund, even though their stadium is really, really, really big, are a level below us regardless of what others think. We'd be hard pushed to get Guardiola form Bayern though admittedly. Same with Ancelotti, although he must be aware he's never a million miles from the sack. Personally, I wouldn't want Simeone.
Well he is argentinian so its a natural thing for them. BTW this is the same Simeone who is best buddies with Beckham right?
Agree with this. One good season or upcoming young managers now not the way. United will go with managers who have done it and won trophies at a very top club and with experience of having dealt successfully with top class players. For the owners, the Moyes experiment has failed.
Either would be good candidates. Also I cannot see United going for any current premiership managers.
Aqua man was a bad signing to replace Alonso (so the money was there from Alonso's sale) but you could argue Johnson was a good signing! Anyway back on topic, Dortmund have a really big stadium but they also have a manager with really big glasses! And I think the Premier does need a manager with really big glasses again, its been too long
Maureen anyone? You should have taken him when you had the chance imo, but I wonder if you could tempt him again now? As his body language and general demeanour at Chelsea has been shocking of late...
I dont know if that would change at a different club though, he seems to be very easily riled and he just seems miserable a lot of the time.
Glad i am not the only one who has seen this. Clear as day he doesnt give a **** about chelsea and doesnt want to be there. I love Jose, hes brilliant. No idea why hes hated by so many but each to their own.
I couldn't really give a monkeys about Simeone's history with Beckham. I don't know what his English is like, but he'd be a good appointment if he could learn English fast. I can't imagine he earns a lot at Atletico, surely he'd be interested
