I said my choice. No one is out of bounds. The irony is that this job is now more attractive than that following Fergie. Provided the money is massive (which I hope the greedy Glazers will sanction but then they know what's good for their pockets) they should be able to pick a very high profile manager.[/QUOTE]

They don't come much higher profile than this bloke, in fact, he's just been voted the best manager the club has ever had by the fans of his current club!

How about Steve Bruce?!

In all seriousness, United need to go all out for a big name if you are serious about aquiring all these targets that have been mentioned in the press. It'll be Van Gaal I reckon, unless he prefers the Spud job <whistle>

Anyone heard what Mick McCarthy has been up to lately?

Before Christian starts wetting his knickers I dont think Rafa would come near your club unfortunately for you

I would say the valid candidates are;

Klopp
Guardiola
Mourinho

van Gaal
Ancelotti
Simeone

Klopp every single day for me. He just IS the right man. Give him the opportunity to do what he did at Dortmund.
Plays brilliant football, with style, promotes youth and has a great beard and hair.

He is the man.

<laugh>,

Damn how did I miss Brucie...

The owners (understandably) will now swing the other way and go short term. They have to address the slide and get the ship going again. Van Gaal or Scolari or anyone with some proven record with a big club...

Really?

Klopp is in a secure job with a club that has a bigger stadium than Man Ure and already do well in the CL - why move?

Guardiola is at the current European Champions and considered the best Manager in the world - Bayern = Bigger club

Mourinho didn't want the job a year ago and he doesn't want it now, besides, his team are title contenders.

Van Gaal - Strong possibility.

Ancelotti is at Real Madrid and doing a decent job. Real Madrid are a bigger club than Moan Utd in every way.

Simeone - Quite possible but doubtful the Glazier family will take another gamble.

Ryan Giggs seems a more realistic contender <whistle>

To be honest, Rafa was not a bad manager. It is just that the ******ed scousers were too thick did not appreciate him and sacked him...<laugh> As coming near our club, FFS if Rafa can go the chavs after what he said about them and what he endnured, he will go where the big money is...<ok>

I think you'd struggle to fine any fan that didnt appreciate Rafa. By the way, us fans arent in charge of the hiring and firing, you can thank our **** old owners for getting rid of Rafa

Lets be honest here. It will be whoever we want.

We are the biggest club in england by a mile so any idiot suggesting we will struggle frankly knows **** all about football. Literally **** all.

Infact chief, such idiocy should be dealt with by changing their username to 'thickcuntignore'

The United job is one of the biggest job in football. End of. Now that it is post Moyes rather than post fergie, it is even more attractive ...<ok>

The brainless Geordie lost me when he said Klopp wouldn't leave because Dortmund have a really, really big stadium!!

****ing halfwit.

Quite the contrary.

You would be nowhere near where you are now with him still in charge. No chance.

Gillet and Hicks were **** owners, we nearly went bust ffs <doh>

We may or may not be near where we are now with Rafa, who knows! Im pleased with Rodgers even if I was unsure about him getting the job.

I wanted Rafa back at the time! But im very pleased to have been wrong

Yeah, no doubt on the bit in bold.

Benitez isn't all that though, simple as that.

You've got a decent manager in Rodgers, knows how to get a team playing. Limited budget though, which makes me think that this is a relative one off and that us, City and Chelsea will be back breathing down your neck next season when the games are coming thicker and fast.
