I suppose, now, that Gaal will be offered the United job, but I really do hope that he sees sense and turns it down, and comes to a team that's capable of making top 4, like us.
Looks like Sewerage and Cesspool have the PL in the bag. Can't see Chelsea winning there....and Man City are running out of games. Could it be Arsenal and Spurs playing Sunday football?.....and would they play their Europa games (?????) the same nights? p.s.Will West Ham change their name to Hackney Wick United?
Tottenham are keen on Man Utd striker Danny Welbeck, 23, as Daniel Levy looks for a top-class striker. (Source: Daily Mirror) Please, god, no! We have LOLdado. Is that not enough humiliation?
"Can't see Chelsea winning there" Yesterday could well be the start of 8-9 days where Jose stakes his credentials as a "specialist in failure" .
Stupid decision, they signed Moyes because they wanted a long term manager. Moyes isn't a one year manager, you need to give him time and with the squad he inherited it was never going to be an easy first season as it wasn't his team, it was a Fergie team. He was totally let down in the transfer windows with Fellaini clearly a desperate last minute signing after they failed to sign anyone Moyes actually wanted. Still, he's a good manager and he'll bounce back. I expect he'll take over at Newcastle since Pardew's got them in freefall again.
This might just be Man Utd's general policy on manager speculation, so I wouldn't jump the gun just yet, but I don't think that he'll be there next season. I doubt he'll have any trouble getting another job though, despite his woeful season at Old Trafford.
This is what happens when Fergie sees Liverpool on the verge of winning the title, Ferguson would never have allowed Liverpool to win the title,
Bookies listing Van Gaal as 6/1 favourite for the Utd job. Sherwood is now favourite to remain as our manager.
As Tony Cottee has said, if he's lost the dressing room then it was inevitable. Still piss poor timing though .
That won't be needed. I genuinely believe they won't make top 4 next season because they have overachieved significantly this season. How many games have they won where they haven't scored in the first 15 minutes, and how many games have they won after coming from behind? That is the mark of champions. They have had a lot of luck this season and I know it seems ridiculous to say it because you get nothing but a Liverpool love-in from the pundits. Seriously - some of their commentaries have been nothing but that recently! Yes they play good football and (apart from the diving) I'm happy that Chelski and ManC won't win, but nevertheless I'm making an analysis here and saying regardless of their points total, they will come unstuck next season Sewerez or no Sewerez. And then the pundits will be saying 'where did it all go wrong' when the actual fact as usual is that they've been built up too much.
I suspect that could be right. They have been the best team this season but they've had no pressure, no European football and have pretty much gone under the radar. They won't be able to do that next season. The only thing I will give them is that they don't have any experience of wining Premier Leagues in that team but have kept their nerve really well up to now. Another thing is that people keep saying United, who I think will be back in the mix next year, won't be able to sign decent players without Champions leaguie football. I would sugest that's utter nonsense as Liverpool and Spurs have managed to get them in.
Its not ridiculous to say they have had alot of luck as I aligned to this recently (although not as passionately as yourself!) as I actually believe Liverpool deserve to win the title when you compare them to City and Chelsea, but there is no denying everything has gone their way this season and add on the fact its happened the year after Fergie has retired, plus with everything else that is happening regarding the inquest, you just have to accept this is their year.
