JWM can I ask a favour? Can you only wum one thread rather than spoil every single one? You are entitled to your opinion, but at the end of the day, your opinion is absolutely meaningless to the rest of us!
IF Spurs beat Fulham Saturday lunchtime, City can go into Sunday's match knowing that should they manage a draw or better, Fulham would need at least FOUR points from their remaining three games to overtake them and City would surely then be favourites to avoid the drop? Should City lose their fate would still be in their own hands OTBC...CTI...I-NEYUL-WT Keep the faith
Does anybody know what the parachute payment might be if we go down? I still reckon Snodgrass should play as a striker alongside Hooper. I would be delighted to see RvW score at least one more goal before he goes. We should try playing 4-3-3 if there is nothing to loose. With all the misfortune that has come our way this season it would be nice to see the gods smiling upon us in the last four games.
To be honest Dave, I think JWM may have a point. If it is going to be between us and Fulham to go down, then there gd is -40 compared to our -27. That could come into play, and if results go our way, could well indeed save us.
You're right about this particular comment M - what irks me is his constant sniping on every thread with his laughing smiley and accusations of delusion! For Christ's sake, this is OUR forum, we are allowed to be delusional if we so wish! Do we infest their board with such accusations about mighty Mick and Terry?
I'd be delighted to offer you a more extended period of leave from our board. Perhaps, say, until August? 2015
I genuinely love the optimism some NCFC supporters have, it does kind of make me feel hopeful even when I think it's over. Not sure about the Liverpool game, but I think getting something from United and Arsenal is possible though.
Yeah agreed. I was pretty despondent on Saturday afternoon. I'm still not convinced that we have any chance of digging our way out of it. BUT, I am confident that (only!) 4 points are needed, max. We need to scrap a lucky win out of one of these matches. I really don't care where.
Yeah I've been feeling a bit down about our situation since Saturday, but just goes to show what positivity can do. Fingers crossed the 3 teams below us lose all their games from now to the end of the season lol.
I think it was 2012 and then bottom team Wigan faced Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal in their run-in. They won three of those and came close to beating Chelsea. They survived quite comfortably. Maybe just one win could be enough for us.
So are we all West Ham fans for the evening then? The quicker Arsenal are out of contention for the Champion's League, the better. Although their run-in is substantially easier than Everton's, so they need to slip up early.
Think it would be better if Arsenal won their 3 or 4 games and Everton losing a couple to secure 4th place, then ideally lose their last game lol.
Villa could go freefall with whatever is going on with culverhouse & karsa ;-) Plus the punch up at Swansea Every little helps
