Felt a comment was necessary on this game, the highlight of which was the outstanding performances of two former Cardiff City keepers. Tom Heaton was his usual, and some bloke Dimi something. Looks a promising lad, better than Marshall maybe?

Dimi Dropalotapopolus

Swansea's secret agent behind enemy lines.

Toss up between him and Bywater for City's worst ever keepers.

I was thinking at the weekend, have we ever had a successful player on loan? Look at Lukaku at West Brom last year and Everton this year, Barry at Everton, even Adebayor when first on loan at Spurs from Man City.

What do we get: -

Zaha (okay he might still come good but pretty poor so far)
Etuhu
That young winger from Fulham last season, one good appearance then crap and recalled
Eddie Johnson
Dimi
Bywater
J Lloyd Samuel
Drinkwater - no better than average and injury prone

Now thinking about it I suppose we can say Bellers was a good loan first time out and Barnett last season. Further back there was Koumas (first time again) and Gary O'Neil and the Japanese guy, name escapes me.

What other loanees have been pi$$ poor and who were good ones?

Blue, you missed Tony Warner! <cool>

Wasn't Warner that Jamaican FIFA official who trousered thousands in bribes - allegedly. <yikes>

Good call on Ramsey.

I still only think of the crap loans though.

Just thought of another one, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

olifinjana was good

What was the central defender we had for the last half dozen games last year - he was sh*t hot - thought Malky may have tried to get him on a permanent beginning of this season. Also liked Olifijana.

Sayer77. I think Godfrey Ingram was a bit of an enigma, came over to us from Canada however i am almost sure he ended up back at Luton who originally got rid of him to Canada, can vaguely remember him scoring a pretty well taken goal for us, think it was a night match or in the depths of winter. What a spotter i am !!
