News just come in that Jack Warner vice president has quit his role with Fifa.

Charges for his alleged bribery have been dropped.

    Hmm.....

Hope this is just the start, they all need getting rid of.

Boils me piss again, surely these corrupt thieves should be brought to justice.

Fifa makes the Scientologists look like a free and open Sunday school group.

It's time the big players in world football got together and made FIFA an open book.

    Here's an interesting thought.......

What if he has resigned so that he can spill the beans on the goings on within FIFA?

Now that I would like to see! ;)

doubt it, much as i'd love it.

the corrupt **** is guilty, and because fifa's house is so badly out of order they are, at some point, going to have to have a properly transparent investigation. because they know warner's guilty, if not of that then plenty of other ****, and because they are all in cahoots, they've cut a deal, that he disappears, and (they hope) the scandal with him, otherwise they will have to have a scapegoat, and he fits the bill. if they were in any other industry, they'd all be rotting in prison.

Am I the only who thinks he was paid off by FIFA, to save his grace and keep FIFA away from bad publicity. I smell something odd about it.

as i said, it was in both his and fifa's interest for him to disappear, wouldn't surprise me at all if he got a nice fat pay off for disappearing.

i only wish we could all pull the same trick: boss- "sorry to say this mr smith, but i have reason to believe that you have been stealing from our company. in fact, i have loads of evidence that you have been stealing, for a long, long time, and i am going to report you to the police as well."; employee- "i quit."; boss- "okay, as you have quit, i will in fact just assume you are totally innocent, despite all my evidence, and will drop all charges against you. thanks for your all your hard work."

iirc wasn't warner found out for illegally touting tickets en masse a few years ago?? if this was a crime movie it would be laughed at for being too unrealistic. they are like pantomime villains.

Assumed to be innocent by FIFA. Not what I had assumed Sepp.
