Most likely one of Frank de Boer or Cesare Prandelli. Prandelli will be a free agent after the World Cup, making him Levy's preference no doubt.
be replaced we all hope............careful what we wish for...........Part of the Levy business plan is that Spurs need to be challenging for the top four. Others might have more of a **** or bust attitude. And knowing Spurs we will bust.
There are a lot of managers out there. De Boer seems to be angling for a new project and he's very familiar with some of our players, so he might be the way to go.
Another problem is whether to keep Ade, and, if so, how to keep him happy. Then of course we want someone who's well known, and preferably one who can deal with the present world of player power. The simple answer is make Ade our player coach.
I don't think Moyes will lose his job but he and Wenger leaving would likely make things very difficult for us. Van Gaal is already rumoured to be United's choice if they sack Moyes and if Wenger leaves, whilst we might not be going for the same managers, we may find the club they get their new manager from are then in for the same targets as us. On the plus side, if Wenger left then PSG may get rid of Blanc, who might not inspire some of you guys but I think he's very good. If we want to get Van Gaal it's vital we get it sorted before the World Cup, waiting until after the tournament only to miss out on him would be unbelievably stupid. Fortunately I think there's a strong chance Van Gaal's future will be sorted out quickly at the end of the season, whether he signs for us or another club. Despite not having the PL experience Van Gaal is the safest choice that we could get imo. After that I guess it's more risky choices like De Boer, Pochettino, Laudrup, and possibly a Blanc or Low who could be interested in coming. Blanc's definitely the pick of the bunch but he's a long shot and if he does leave I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at Barca or Dortmund(if Klopp gets the Germany job). I'd take any of them over 12 more months of Sherwood though.
What will Levy do? ask the advice of whoever is top of his speed dial currently, as I very much doubt when AVB was sacked or when AVB was being considered for the sack, that levy sat down by himself and starting looking at coaches and said "Van Gaal, thats who we need"........was it Pleat? .. (he recommended Baldini) or was it the same person who recommended Redknapp? I guess we will never fully know who Levy trusts but if for some reason Van Gaal goes elsewhere then there isn't anyone that springs to mind (offering similar experience) but as YV mentions, Moyes won't lose his job as he has a six year contract and Man Utd won't sack him after one year. Wenger appears to have got over his wobble after reality sank in he can no longer build a team to challenge for the title and I doubt any top club in Europe would take him after 8 years with no trophy so there is no point in him leaving just to manage a club elsewhere unless it was someone like Real Madrid and that ship has sailed, but I guess if Hull win the cup then he may finally give up! If so, would they want someone like Van Gaal? they would prefer a younger manager, someone like Klopp, so I would say if we want Van Gaal then once the season is ended we can sign him for next season.
