Actually didn't think we were too bad in that half. Still can't see us scoring though.

Not so sure that Krul was blameless there. Poor positioning in my book.

Bet the confidence is really fragile though. Hope we get a slice of luck ourselves in second half, as don't think our players are going to dig us out of it. Encouraging performance though, maybe go with 3 at the back more often.

Shola and Cisse. The worst strike partnership in the premier league. Thank god LDJ hasn't started though. Really want to see Armstrong in the second half- yes he's raw but he'll give us some bite and energy at least!
Pardew is protecting Armstrong's development from being hurt by the football that Pardew's team play.

Just shows how much we were shafted by JFK when we failed to get a second goalscorer in the summer. LDJ was a gamble worth taking to have a look at him but his poor run looks in no danger of ending and was too little too late.

He is better than Saylor and when he is played CB with Williamson he has been fine. Plenty of others have been inept this season - he just seems a convenient blame tool imo.

A lot of the stuff being said about MYM this season reminds me of the things said about Colo in his first season. I hope he improves in the same way too, but this season he's been utter ****e. Far too few decent moments to offset the terrible ones.

I agree, but the fault lies with our lack of ability to keep the ball. The defence has endured some pressure in the first half.

The current crop of player's are not composed in the slightest, embarrassing for a top drawer club.

Save the Everton game when he has played at CB with Williamson he has been pretty solid. Like you alot like Colo and too similar to be played together. He will most likely be sold in the summer and we will get to see more of Saylor which will make fine - allbeit hilarious viewing.

He really hasn't. He has been guff bar one or two games. I hope he turns it round but he has not deserved to play after some truly pathetic displays of late. Saylor fully justifying starting ahead of him.
