OK. I'll jump in here if no one minds. If you are turning off an AIS Transponder which you are legally required to have, who are you and where are you ?
The skipper of a boat and in port. AIS is the position finder for boats which talks to the nearest strand station to about 100km.
I knew that was too easy. As the Captain of a Ship you would also be entitled to turn it off when in waters at risk from piracy such as the Red Sea or Gulf of Aden. Over to you AK.

I don't think he had any other career apart from the church - rose from canon to cardinal before being elected pope, then suffered the ignominy of being killed by a fly.
Yorkie had the job he did uniquely but I wanted the job before and who he was.

No - I think Woolwich Arsenal were actually formed by workers at the Royal Arsenal Co-Operative Society. The club I'm thinking of originally comprised of volunteer soldiers, and took its name from the regiment.
