Skylarker has a point. Some of you Chelsea fans would probably disagree that Flanagan is twice the player Ashley Cole has ever been also. <doh>

<laugh>No doubt Suarez VG player and could become a great if he succeeds in CL, like Messi, Ronaldo do season in, season out

But to say he is best in the world and twice the player League champion Aguero is.... well... typical LFC hyperbole: LFC have best players, fans, kit, stadium etc

Probably the same fans who said Torres was best striker in the world after one good season at Liverpool before he had two and a half injury-plagued ordinary ones. Or that Carroll was the new Drogba

No wonder some people don't want you to win the league

How about not at all mate.....

Suarez for the RS: 128 apps, 80 goals = 1.6 games per goal

Aguero for Citeh: 113 apps, 73 goals = 1.54 games per goal

Aguero is the most natural finisher in the EPL and one of the best there is. To say Suarez is nearly twice the player is bilge fella.

Well those stats only prove Suarez is in fact the much better player.

Aguero joined a team filled with top class players. He had the best service in the league, Whereas Suarez was surrounded by bang average players for most part of his time with us
Yet his scoring rate is only marginally less than Aguero's. Imagine him being surrounded by the likes of Silva, Toure, Nasri, Fdinho, Navas and all the other million pound signings every transfer window...scary!

Just shows Suarez is in a league of his own.

But Im not blaming you bunch, all this Bitterness is a result of us having the best player in the league by a country mile. So no hard feelings, keep the hate coming <ok>

If money or politics etc etc. weren't involved - who do you think they would choose?

I'm guessing a front 3 of Ronaldo, Suarez, and Bale would be completely unstoppable. It would possibly be up there with the best front 3 of all time, scary thought!

I think they'd go for Aguero, but only because he's played in Spain before. I don't think it really matters though, both are guaranteed 20+ league goals, even if they miss a few games. Something which we need!

If City are after Suarez it is probably as a replacement for Dzeko who looks to be on his way out, someone to bring on as a sub to make a difference in difficult games and a competant backup for Aguero.

Or the opposite could be true. At City he has to share the ball and limelight with other top class players where as at Liverpool everything goes to and through Suarez. Same reason some players look amazing at average clubs but bang average when they move to top clubs such as Ashley Young or Torres ;)

Genuinely think you need to watch Suarez in a few games (not just MOTD) to appreciate him.

Some of the things he can do with the ball, and how hard he works...

Easily the best player I've seen play for Liverpool in my lifetime.

Suarez > Gerrard > Torres > Owen > Alonso IMO.

Aguero, if injury free for a season, would run Suarez very close though. He's arguably as technically good + has that speed. Suarez has much more flair and trickery though.

EDIT: Worth noting with Suarez's stats v Aguero

- That Suarez took time to adapt to the PL, coming from a much worse league than Liga BBVA.
- Suarez went through the Dalglish year.
- Only in the last year or so (since January 2013) has Suarez played in a functioning attack - which still doesn't have City's quality.

Very fair post MY, and some interesting and valid points <ok>

This argument could go on forever. Suarez may have come from a less tough league but there was more pressure on Aguero from the offstart, coming into a title chasing team.

Both are tremendous footballers, easily the best two strikers in the league at the moment. A pairing would be hard to cope with. Both have their merits and downfalls, Madrid will be in for one in the summer guaranteed. Every year they look across to our league and see who could change their team to be better. Ronaldo, Alonso, Modric, Bale.

Suarez or Aguero in for Benzema would make Madrid unstoppable, but they might lean towards Suarez because of Aguero's injury record.

Real are concerned about their global image, would that preclude them from Luiz? probably not.

Would take Benzema at Chelsea???

Madrid don't mind a reckless centre-back, have you seen Ramos and Pepe haha

If they wanted Luiz, then they will have to send Benzema, Varane or Isco the other way

Yawn. Look if Aguero were that great, City wouldn't feel the need to spend £80m+ on suarez, especially when FFP is starting. Likewise Real would be after Aguero, they're not. Aguero = better finisher, Suarez = more complete player.
